Ugh. I will never stay here again. It smelled terrible. Our room was damp and dark, very dated. The bathroom was gross—mold and rust on ceiling and floor. The only redeeming quality of this place is that it had very hot water. Otherwise it was a total dump

The room smelt like mildew and our key cards didn’t work. The front desk was helpful about it, but we went through about 3-4 room key cards before we could get in for the rest of the night

While you can tell the property is being well kept, it was still pretty outdated. There also needs some repairing done throughout the building. Certain doors did not work, ice machine did not work, spider-webs and dead bugs throughout the property.

This property has an odor in the 1st Fl hall heading to the elevator. The rooms are old. There is no USB port for charging devices so be sure to bring your wall plug. The tub was disgusting. You can tell where the mat was pulled away from the porcelain as it was stained with old glue marks. The bed was very rickety

The windows are bolted shut. Crazy. I just needed some fresh air.

Staff rude from the get go. Requested extra pillows first day; upon checkout on fourth day still no pillows. Had to get own towels from desk. Rude and lazy breakfast person; fed other staff before making sure guests were taken care of. Limited crappy luggage carts. Old worn out room, serious need of upgrading. Too late to cancel so had to grin and bear it.

I slept so well here. Great stay.

We didn't end up staying there! 1st room had mold in the bathroom and even on the lamp shades. mattresses were old and uncomfortable. Second room we were offered had a heavy smell of bleach, was unlocked when we got there and key didn't work. Third room also had mold and off smell and the king sized bed had a very visible sag in it!

it's an older building, carpet is worn out, building and room smelled musty, the one elevator fits 3 people tightly with no luggage, our bathroom door knob had come undone... but at $150 a night in mid-August in NE you may not find too many places better for same price!

First time staying here. From the outside this motel doesn't look the best, but both the lobby and my room were very nice. Nicer than I expected. My only complaint was the tv was awful. The quality of the picture was bad. Felt like it was 1985. Other than that, really no complaints at all.

My stay at Quality Inn in Old Saybrook was horrible. There was an issue with the AC that created so much moisture in our room that our floors and bedding was soaking wet. By the next day, all of our belongings were wet. The coffee maker in our room was broken, the iron was broken, they were out of water in the lobby and the coffee maker in the lobby was out of service. When we told the front desk about the issues, we were told we’d get 20 percent off on our stay. This morning, the manager said they needed hotels.com to approve the discount. I reached out to hotels.com to contact the front desk, who then called the hotel 15 minutes later, and we were told the manager had left for the day & that we were going to be charged full price. At checkout they wouldn’t provide us with a receipt, saying they don’t offer receipt for 3rd party bookings.

Our stay was great however the male worker doing the breakfast service was extremely rude, unprofessional and unpleasant not only to me but to a few other people that were asking for his help. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt the first morning we were there, but his attitude did not improve the following morning either.

Liked it all. Didn't like that the ice maker wasn't working. But overall it was a very nice get away.

My room was lovely, neat and clean. An option of air or heat was good. Iron and board for my clothes. Lovely spacious area. I especially loved the fact they had a swimming pool and a small gym room that had a fabulous treadmill that was much needed after my good breakfast they provided. Belgian waffles, eggs, coffee, vread for toast, cereals, donuts, juices and yogurts. Ir was all wonderful. My stay was great.

The woman at the reception desk was very helpful & friendly.

Although the location is ok the amenities and the property is quite dated. That area truly needs more average priced accommodations. .

So I had 2 major issues with the place. Our shower had no hot water. The second night the girl on the front desk was very nice, offered to change our room, but it was 8pm and our last night. I did however get to shower in the bathroom by the pool. My friend had to go with me because there was no lock on the door. The other issue was only 1 ice machine worked and it was on the 3rd floor.

I moved my room because it smelled like smoke. The new room also smelled. As a former smoker, it kept me awake.

We aren’t picky but this place was dirty. Stains on blankets and curtains, mold on a lampshade, spider webs in the corners. The TV didn’t work and the alarm clock was broken. Bed was comfortable at least.

It was nice

It was convenient to our wedding destination in Westbrook.
