Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent "salt water" outdoor heated pool. Great view of Marina from 3rd floor room with balcony. Fine dining available. Nice area for walking.

I have been coming to this resort the past 6 years with my husband, and we always enjoyed our time there. My. husband passed away 1 year ago, and I come back and make my stay a wellness treat to myself. All the staff are professional, friendly ,and helpful.

Two days before the reservation, I stopped in at the hotel and was told we would have a room in the main building w a view of the CT river. When we checked in, we were told we had an “upgrade”. It was across the street and the decor was very dated. It basically was an apartment owned by the hotel. We did not need the extra room or the inconvenience of a property across the street, and found the decor far below the inn’s usual quality. We expressed our disappointment, and they gave us a complimentary gift card for $100 for dinner, but that could make up for a below level but very expensive stay.

Property and amenities were great, great restaurants and bars. For the price of the rooms the hotel should offer you bottled water and not charge $5.25. Also they had coffee for the guests but only until 8:30 am. Would be nice if they extended it to 11am.

This is a very beautiful resort sitting right on the water with an attached marina. Food was delicious and service wonderful throughout the property. Our room's balcony overlooked the front entrance which was decent despite not being water front. The luxury room was very spacious!! There were some minor upgrades to be done in the bathroom but overall, a charming, quiet and relaxing room. Spa service was excellent and the spa was very relaxing! My main critique for this place is to designate kids hours at the pools. When you're spending a lot of money on a resort and amenities, its off putting to constantly have kids screaming at the pool all day/night even until 10pm. There needs to be adult only time. Bc the pools are attached to the spa as well, the relaxation factor goes down to zero after your service. I also feel that little children should never be allowed in the hot tubs. Other than that, a very friendly, picturesque place to stay in a little quaint Connecticut town!

The food at Fresh Salt is delicious and the waitstaff terrific. The surroundings are beautiful and comfortable. I highly recommend staying here!

This was our first time to Connecticut, and we truly enjoyed the hotel. The room was clean and authentic to the time it was built we liked being able to take the bikes into town and having the restaurant on site.
