Not the typical Hampton Inn. Most are excellent. Not this one at 1919 West End Ave, Nashville TN. As soon as I walked in I noticed an odor of Marijuana, I don’t know where it was coming from. I did see a non-smoking sign. The hotel is in need for a makeover & face lift, most definitely. Our rooms had a moldy odor. Bathroom was clean. Towels & bed linens were clean. Walls , doors, & trim had obvious chips & nicks. Floor was filthy as noticed by my white socks. The actual bed was so worn out you could see the deep dip in center of mattress We weren’t able to regulate the room temperature either. We had a one king bed room. Neither one of us slept well & awoke frequently throughout the night. We spent 3 nights. I attempted to book a room at a different hotel but all were sold out. The valet dolly’s were in desperate condition. I used one and the end bars were not securely attached, coming completely apart. Breakfast was complimentary and area was clean. The young lady working the breakfast shift had an excellent appearance & good work ethic, paying attention & ensuring food & drink was plentiful. Front desk & service staff were very friendly & very helpful. Every morning at breakfast, there was a huge dumpster like container full of boxes, trash & debris. Pretty gross & unavoidable if you venture to the basement where breakfast was served. Dr . Wright texted me, which was something I had not experienced & was a pleasant added service. But, I wouldn’t stay, again.

Location is great right off the busy part of Broadway but still a few places that are walkable. $25 per night for parking is a little high considering you will probably ride share. The room was very comfortable and fresh with a great shower. Breakfast was delicious better than most complementary meals. We will stay here again.

Great location near music row. Only a couple minute walk to Losers, Red Door and Reilly Green.
Make sure you don’t mix this one and the other location up which is only about four blocks.
Solid breakfast and afternoon cookies were a nice treat.

Checking in they put me in a booked room so had to pack up and move. Room was noisy from neighbors and traffic.

A nice, clean room. Friendly no-frills service. Exactly what most would expect from a hotel. Great location. Centrally located for a walk to centennial Park (my favorite park) or go The opposite direction to downtown. About a mile from the hotel but a nice walk

Stayed in a 1 king room and was pleased overall, but the pillows were awful. Room was clean and spacious, as was the bathroom. We had 5 pillows and they were all flat as a pancake.

The staff in this well-worn, long-used hotel are friendly when spoken to. Otherwise they are distant. It's a busy place, and they keep to their own.
It's a fine choice if you need to be close to Vanderbilt and you are parking a car.

I'm glad Hampton Inn had a pool whereas Lowes did not, however, the pool furniture could have been updated as most of them were broken.

Staff were excellent. However, the sink appeared to have black mold all around the rim and the guests in nearby rooms were very loud yelling and banging on my wall for no apparent reason.

Property is WAY overdue for an update. I have stayed at several properties in this area and this property has to most rundown and poorly run! Definitely not worth the money. Book at of the MANY other hotels around here that are clean and updated.

While the staff was extremely pleasant and the room clean, our room was not ready on time. Wasn’t ready until 3:40. Busy weekend I understand but I’m a stickler for punctuality and my schedule. The late room had a minor negative affect on trip.

Was a good place to stay for the price. We enjoyed the outdoor pool and the breakfast was nice. A water drip onto our window sill from above was a bit annoying but nothing too bad.

The hotel's location is ideal, very close to all major sites with plenty of dining options within walking distance. However, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. The bathroom floor was extremely sticky, likely due to layers of cleaning products being applied without properly cleaning the surface.
The staff, in general, were quite rude and unwelcoming. No one greeted us or acknowledged our presence. The front desk staff, in particular, were the worst. When I arrived before the regular check-in time, the lady at the front desk didn't even look up at me and curtly asked for my last name and phone number. I assumed she was going to check me in, but instead, she said, "I will call you when a room is available." An hour later, they called to inform me that a room was ready. When I returned, the same lady was still extremely rude and unfriendly.
The only positive interaction with a staff member we had was with a gentleman in the elevator who, seeing us leave, kindly said, “Thank you for staying with us, I hope you have a great day.”
