This quaint Inn is so close to downtown Kingston but far away enough to enjoy quiet. The staff is very kind and the place is clean and cozy

There was a good breakfast selection. It was a warm day so we wanted to open the window but there was a lot of noise all night: people talking loud, banging bottles and cans and early morning garbage trucks. There was only hand soap for the shower, no bar soap or shampoo was available.

Hochelaga Inn is an old, traditional building from 1800-something. I understand that many people book this Inn for that reason, including ourselves. It creaks and squeaks on all sides, part of the charm. Friendly staff, but the room was too dirty. The carpet was so filthy, it looked like it was from 1800-something. The bathroom was also not cleaned, stains from the previous tenants, and hair on the wall. There is coffee, tea and water available 24 hours a day, and a simple breakfast is included. There was a mobile air conditioner in the room, very pleasant with 25C+ outside temperatures.

Staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Property is beautiful and comfortable. Nice breakfsst buffet with 2 choices of made to order for a modest additional charge.

A beautiful old Victorian mansion with comfortable rooms and a breakfast. We enjoy staying in places like this because they have a character that is not available in most hotels and motels. Only stayed one night because we were in transit, but would definitely stay again.

Hochelaga Inn was a lovely, quaint inn located very close to downtown Kingston and the waterfront. The gardens of the Inn were lovely, and service at reception was friendly and helpful. The queen bed was comfortable with nice bedding and duvet. A window air conditioner was appreciated on a hot evening. We appreciated the spring water that was provided in the room. I would definitely return to Hochelaga Inn when I return to Kingston.

We were well greeted as we arrived later in the evening. We were promptly checked in and able to make our dinner reservation on time.

Hotel is in a great location, near downtown Kingston. Lovely building, but stayed as a family of 4 in the attic room. Very noisy AC unit and a main bed, plus a sofa bed that had seen better days. Staff very obliging and helpful staff. Siobhan was lovely on the front desk and gave us an extra duvet to cover the very squeaky sofa bed. Andrew helped my husband fix his suitcase...such a nice fellow. Breakfast was lovely in the morning. Worth a visit for the hospitality.

I went to Queen's University, and for years was curious about this Inn. It did not disappoint in the slightest! The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, particularly with respect to communication surrounding late check-in. The location is ideal with respect to exploring the downtown area on foot. Free parking was available across the street, in a safe location, which was great. Charming continental breakfast was provided with a beautiful outdoor seating area and lovely garden. Room was small (as to be expected from a historical building) but cozy and clean. Highly recommend and look forward to staying here again. Just magical!

Parking not available so I parked in the public parking and paid the fee starting 8 am for 2 hours. However it said it included parking. Parking only is available for a couple of early birds.

Very friendly staff, clean room, great breakfast buffet, excellent coffee. A very short walk to town. Beautiful grounds. All in all, excellent experience -- would stay again without hesitation.

We were amazed by the building with its long story. All necessary The neighborhood has plenty of houses with great architecture.
There are different types of rooms in the hotel, next stay we will try to choose another one :)

Excellent historic building that helps to appreciate history of Kingston.
Building is old and portable air conditioning were a bit noisy for a quite night sleep.

The front desk staff were very helpful/welcoming.
The bed and pillows were very comfortable.
There was no elevator in our wing of the hotel(cottage extension)
The grounds were lovely, and our room overlooked the garden.
The buffet breakfast was good but the cooked breakfast (extra$$) was not - cold hash browns, greasy eggs and sausage.
The room was not cleaned during our 2 night stay although we were sent a text within 1/2 hour of arrival to invite us to tip the cleaner for preparing the room.
Our car and the one next to us were vandalized in their car park. The hotel had a CCTV camera which captured it but unfortunately the car park was not secure.

The inn is very charming and beautiful! Service was great and we enjoyed the included breakfast. The location is ideal, downtown and the waterfront are in walking distance. The neighbourhood was really nice.
Our room was small but cute, the only downside was the little soundproofing and no blackout curtains.

This beautiful Inn is steps away from Queens University which was the reason for our visit. It is in a beautiful, walkable area of the city near the waterfront, a large park and the down town area. Loved our stay, breakfast was wonderful and stress free, the staff were friendly- could not be better!

This is a beautiful, tranquil inn with plenty of character. The staff were friendly and helpful and cared about the property and their guests. Breakfast on the patio was sheer bliss. I will be back!
