Very old and small

We mostly enjoyed our stay. Staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good. We stayed in a suite that slept 4 people (we were 3 adults and 1 child). The room was a little cramped for us. Nowhere to put luggage. Also air con only available in the sofa bed area not in the bedroom area. Given that it was so hot (36C) we found it uncomfortable to sleep in the bedroom area.

Excellent hotel, lovely decoration, amazing location in a beautiful city. My only issue is that we had to turn off the AC because it was too powerful and cold, but that's a minor detail.

This hotel is right in the center of it all. We loved the convenience of just stepping out and being near all the sites, shops and restaurants.

Hotel is great location to everything you want to see. The smaller bed off the main room is fine, but if you close the door to main bed, you will not have a/c in the small room. parking was not close to the hotel. everything else was great.

Beautiful, historic hotel in tbe center of the city. Our room was attractive and spacious with excellent AC. It’s Two minutes from many public transport options and shopping and restaurants galore. It would be even better with a gym. It’s a little inconvenient that cars cannot drive up in front, but taxis can. There is a parking garage entrance at the end of the block and reduced parking rate for 19 euros/night. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous 19th century hotel with a modern update. Beautiful spacious rooms, fantastic breakfast, best possible location (centre ville, tramway, 5 min to train), amazingly thoughtful and helpful staff. Our stay here was the high point of our wonderful trip to Montpellier. 10/10, thank you Grand Hotel du Midi!

Great place to stay in central Montpellier!

We had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the town square and it was amazing. Service at the hotel was also outstanding and the off site parking was about 100m from the front door of the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel 😊

Excellent location in the old town and close to the railway station. Very friendly and helpful staff. First floor room had some noice from the restaurant below & some street noice. Overall the hotel interior could use an upgrade.

Great location. It was fun walking out the door and being right in the old part of Montpellier. Just a short walk from train station as well. Our room included breakfast which was delicious and convenient.

Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Beds were super comfortable. Location was fantastic - close to restaurants, sites, shopping. All in all a terrific experience.

Grand Hotel du Midi was a central location ideal for our short visit to Montpellier. The room for 4 did the job nicely - the sofa bed was already open and prepared for us, and they were comfortable. I liked that the balcony doors could be opened (which faced the historic Credit Lyonnais building), and when you closed those doors - soundproof! Very good because the Comedie square is busy and noisy. The hotel instructions for parking that get sent to you automatically are critical to follow - it took a bit of care, but we figured it out. We didn't take the tunnel as indicated, but just took the stairs up to Comedie square - bring your ticket for the discount (17 Euro) and present to th front desk. The hotel itself has a classic character, with ornate staircases, stained-glass windows, and decor. Everything we wanted was within walking distance. I liked that water was provided and a nespresso.

Excellent air conditioning (June). Takes a little while to work after learning controls and then it is very effective. Best location on the major square. Quiet room with juliette balcony facing pedestrian street. Car- free pedestrian old town with many outdoor restaurants nearby. Old solid belle epoch grand hotel in good shape. Very helpful staff. Beautiful old university city off the usual tourist path.Only 7 minute walk from train station.

Friendly and helpful staff. Old-world accommodations but clean and quaint. Perfect location to walk to the old town center.

The hotel is well located to see museums and historic neighborhoods. The staff are friendly and helpful. I had a quite spacious room that was comfortable and with high ceilings. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is very old - beautiful building. The location is great if you're looking for a great jump-off to walk the city of Montpellier. It's near great restaurants and great shopping. However, as an asthmatic, fully carpeted rooms and hallways makes for trapping many allergens and scents. Windows open - however, we faced the side of hotel where the garbage bins were located. Opening windows was stinky - but my only options for "fresh" air. The rooms are indeed neat and tidy. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Hotel was clean and comfortable for our two night stay in Montpellier. It was ideally located for getting around town. The only issue we had (not the hotels fault) was due to the tram line and city centre renovations all the roads are mainly one way. This meant we couldn’t reach the hotel with our car to get the ticket for parking, eventually I drove in circles (as no on street parking) whilst my partner went to the hotel lobby. Once we had the ticket we ended up spending another hour trying to access the car park due to the one way streets and the traffic. In the future it would be handy to know you can park first and bring the ticket to the hotel lobby to then sort out the discounted rate.

O hotel é bem legal, muito próximo de tudo em Montpellier. O pessoal do hotel é muito prestativo e a Gerente do hotel foi fantástica, permitindo que guardássemos a mala antes de entrar no hotel e que deixássemos uma mala lá, para pegar depois. Só usamos o café da manhã um dia e é normal. O hotel é um pouco antigo, mas isso não atrapalhou em nada
