Our original room had a slow draining bathtub which hampered the showering experience. We called the front desk and they sent a maintanance man that was very polite and helpful. He worked on trying to unclog the drain for 30 minutes. He finally suggested we have a room change and very kindly made arrangements for us to move directly across the hall.
Our next room was actually a little cleaner, brighter and bathroom seemed slightly more updated.
The rooms did not have a refrigerator, which was inconvenient.

This property is so very dated. It’s dark, looks do tired and worn. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean but we would never have booked it if we knew how old and tired the property was overall. A huge remodel is needed at this property. I would not represent them or use them until they do a major overhaul on the entire property.

very dated and staff has no idea what is going on. They didn't even know the bar and restaurant were open. When we asked, they said they were closed for the season. Yet it was the next weekend they were closing.

The young woman working the front desk when we checked in was very pleasant. We got our room upgraded for free without asking, maybe because it's a slow time at the golf course this time of year in the autumn. Some of the things in the unit were a little dated, but it was very comfortable and clean. I slept like a rock. Beautiful area. I would definitely return to this hotel if in the area again in the future.

You can tell this place has not been updated in years. The mattresses were horrendous. They literally psyched into the middle so my wife and I both were rolling inward all night. You don’t have money to put into this facility. So outdated and broken

Everything was great apart from the room was not locked and the door was left an inch ajar after housekeeping had been in to clean, on this stay and the previous one. A serious security issue!!

Lobby door was broken. Ice machine was out of order. Whole building smelled weird. We only stayed one night, because the hotel we wanted was sold out. I would only recommend this out of desperation.

It's great if you play golf. I first stayed there 2 years ago and it was under reno construction. Since that first stay TV is down to 6 channels, hope you don't have kids to entertain. Room didn't have a coffee pot and had only two towels, no wash cloths, fridge freezer was caked with ice. They brought me a coffee pot, coffee and two towels and wash cloths. Night crew was nice, not so much on day. Sad but I'm looking for a new place to stay

Decent. We stayed for a recent high school class reunion. Back in the day Lakeview was a wonderful hotel, today it’s just decent. It was clean and comfortable, the room nice, the shower had great pressure, but the hallways were dingy and the parking lot needed attention. It was good for the price, but it has seen better days. Also when I went to check out, no one was around. I needed a receipt, so I had to wait 10 minutes for another employee who happened to wonder into the lobby, to go find someone who worked at the front desk. Didn’t look at or use the pool or the golf course, but it did seem like there were a lot of people golfing. I guess I was disappointed that it needs some TLC.

This hotel has so much potential but it is run down and reminds me of “The Shining”. It was sort of clean. But I had my own blanket, pillow. Tried to always have socks on. The restaurant/bar was not good. The bartender was friendly. The TV had about 6 channels. I was disappointed. We will definitely never come here again. Huge mistake.

Golf course is the draw. Buliding apears older and could use a remodel. Only saw minimal staff, Not a lot of elevators, so you'll probably have some stairs to climb.

Our room was dirty and the staff very unprofessional. I tried to call for assistance and it is impossible to get someone on the phone. We were very dissatisfied with our stay and would not recommend staying here.

The actual hotel and our reserved room was CLOSED- we were given a condo BUT - the number of beds did NOT meet our reservation OR our needs
The indoor pool was also CLOSED - the main reason we had chosen this location as we were there for a mid-winter break with 5 kids
The lack of transparency about the 2 items is unacceptable- both from the hotel and hotels.com
The reception staff was kind and understanding - they have no control over what is presented to the public
UNACCEPTABLE to pay the outrageous amount and not get anything that you paid for (oh and the restaurant was closed too and the fitness center argued about allowing us to come in to use the basketball courts)

This property is in need of some serious renovation. This is a nasty place to stay.
Our room was not clean, the sheets had stains and we purchased sheets from a local Dollar General to be able to stay. We were there for a football game and could not find other accommodations or we would have left.
If I could give a score of zero i would! Especially after spending $300 a night...

Cigarette butts everywhere. Cart by guest entrance full of dirty tampons and trash. Grocery bags flying around. Not enough towels when reservation was for three people. No ice machine available. Renovated areas with open doors on third floor with dirt everywhere. I found these looming for ice. Told there was a restaurant on saturday but not told it wasn’t open. My family and I dressed for dinner at 4 and found empty restaurant. Night clerk vaping at main entrance last night at 11. Scratches on walls in room. Elevator button broken and elevator felt like it would fall at each stop. Not even allowed to walk out and look at lake Sunday before leaving. My spouse has terminal cancer. Clerk Sunday was very rude. So sad that this place has gone so downhill.

super outdated, hotel room was very cringe and displeasing. bedding had rips and appears VERY old. no outlets (gad to uplug lamp to charge a phone) funky odor from AC/heat unit. the golf course looked bland. the cleaning staff snd front desk were very kind and friendly, though.

We seemed to have visited while some golf tournament was going on so our room had no mini fridge or microwave- it’s the little things that make the stay- our bed was comfy but the light shade on the desk was badly broken and whoever they got to repair the walls from some kind of damage in like 4 areas didn’t match the paint color well or the finish as the walls were in satin while the patch was in semigloss- just something I picked up and thot was not up to par to what you paid for a room- I would expec5 that kind of appearance from a Motel 6- we had spiders in our bathroom- one dead in a corner of the tub one alive in the tub area
