Whilst the location of the hotel was convenient for us to attend a meeting and the restaurant/lobby area was pleasant, this stay and experience was unfortunately let down by the terrible state of the room. This part of the hotel is not only out dated in decor but poorly maintained and dirty. There were rotten door frames, stained carpets, black mould and cigarette burns on the sheets. The heating/fan system is also very old and noisy so it was a choice between using the climate control and being disturbed by the noise or being cold overnight

Check in took far too long, I got a pint to pass the time. Modern communal area but dated rooms / gym. Warm pool, decent sauna, and a good breakfast.

Professional and friendly welcome at check in. Room ready as expected. Good location for the university campus and around a 30 minute walk/5 min drive from the railway station.
Entrance is fresh and modern but rooms are more functional with both bedrooms and bathrooms probably due an update.

Reception area and eateries new, inviting and clean. Rooms are the opposite. Threadbare carpets along corridors. Rooms bare and unhomely. Stained pillow case and towel. Bathroom needs deep clean. Build ups of mould and dirt in many areas. Not impressed.
Charged extra for parking - not advertised on Hotel.com website- just reads parking available. Pool nice. Fitness suite - machines need a good clean.

We called the hotel the day before to make sure I had a double bed. When I arrived i got checked in to 2 single beds. It was rectified.
My room was old, carpet was quite dirty, bathroom was really bad and when I opened the curtains the next morning the were very dirty and mouldy. It totally didn’t reflect at the rest of the hotel as it was recently renovated but seems the rooms haven’t. So disappointed.

I had a grear stay with my two teenage daughters. The room was large wirh a big rv rhat had netflix so they could watch their programmes. We also used the gym which was a good suze with all the equipment you would expect. We didnt use the pool but did see it and it looked very nice and clean. You could feel the heat of the pool walking past. Breakfast was delivered to the room. It was still very hot and the selection was really good. Highly recommend this hotel and we will be back again.

I was late this morning so i said please email me ghe receipt. Id updated my email on check in.

I called 4 hours later.
8 hours later still no receipt.

Everything was as what you would expect from a Holiday Inn. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The only complaint (?) would be that the pool and gym area closes way too early at 8:30 pm.

The hotel was fresh, bright and modern and the family suite was excellent and spacious. It was close to the University, which was the purpose of our visit. The hotel appeared very clean however the mattress of the sofa bed was disgustingly stained and had food underneath the sofa. and the bathroom wasn't as fresh as it should have been.

Stayed here for one night, arrived to find we had to pay for parking in the car park in front of the hotel, no other option as it is a 15 min walk to any other option!! Rooms were of a good size and the bar and restaurant offered good food and drink options

Such a lovely approach to Holiday Inn Guildford BUT greeted by parking app options, whch was a bit daunting... Having spent some time trying to access complete, we decided to go into hotel to ask... Here we were greeted by a very helpful receptionist who showed me to a parking machine near the hotel entrance, so easy!! This was not an option in the actual carpark!!? Why?
Our stay was very pleasant otherwise... very helpful staff 🙂 Comfortable room, huge tv! Only complaint.... Cheap loo rolls... 😜

Good value family stay. Hotel is in good condition but our room had seen better days and needs a refit, but perfectly adequate. Holiday Inns policy of being open to family is a good one and makes it affordable but this policy should be extended to the swimming pool independent on-site who weren’t so accommodating to our children wanting to play in the pool.

We ended up here after another hotel we had originally booked, said they didn’t allow kids in the pool. This turned out to be a fantastic unplanned stay. Service was impeccable, food was very good, the pool was lovely and warm and we will certainly be back.
