Great hotel, provided all we needed and handy for visiting our friends and for exploring Cambridge. Pool, sauna, steamroom and jacuzzi all good. Food (dinner and breakfasts) and service were great. The room was comfortable and quiet and had nice blackout curtains, but maybe ready for a refresh. We could have done with more light in the room - there is no top light and although there are various side lamps, my preference is to be able to have more light when needed. Otherwise though, a great stay and we'd definitely use the hotel again if back in the area.

My only criticism is that the bedrooms are tired and in much need of refurbishing.

Hotels infrastructure is poorly made despite recent refurb. Does not keep noise out due to thin walls and sometimes put in room which has adjoining door. If you have loud neighbour in next room can feel like they in your room. Had to ask to be moved to different room for that reason. The doors banging shut did not help which caused my sleep to be disturbed a few times through the night. Positive part of this hotel is the Breakfast. A good selection of options and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Good location for hotel with bus service and park and ride not far away. Lovely swim in the pool . Great way to end a holiday

Far from the downtown (about 10 minute cab ride) Definitely dated -as carpets were old and dingy in the hallways.

Positve experience, great location and friendly staff.

The hotel itself is fine and recommended, but really only for people with a car; for people who depend on public transportation it is quite inconvenient. It is about 15 min walk to the bus station, and another 15 minutes on the bus to the city. Not terrible, but especially with suitcases quite inconvenient. On the positive side, there is a meadow with sheep directly next to the hotel, the children enjoyed that. But a hotel shuttle to the bus stop would be really appreciated.

Lovely overnight stay at Cambridge. Room was comfortable, breakfast was excellent, swimming pool was actually warm not cold like some others we have stayed at. Staff friendly & helpful

Overall disappointing as the rooms & corridors weren’t clean enough. Carpets in the corridors need urgent attention!! I had 2 rooms & both bathrooms with the rooms had dirty marks & smell. One of the rooms A/C didn’t work, I don’t understand why that room was given to guests when the A/C doesn’t work.

Not too far from city center and a fraction of the cost of most hotels

Tired room, hairs found on the bed and side table, toilet cystern noisy and took a very long time to refill so the noise continued for about 15 minutes each time the toilet was flushed. Awoken at 3am and 5am by guests staying in neighbouring rooms. All in all a disappointing stay

Best customer service I have experienced in years. The team were friendly and incredibly helpful without being asked. So attentive and an absolute delight. Brilliant. Special mentions to the Restaurant Manager on Saturday evening and all the bar staff.

The staff was very helpful and friendly would definitely stay there again

Everything was perfect.

Hotel fine, food and service more than happy. Booked a month in advance with hotels.com to find out although I’d paid and not amended the booking, they cancelled the room straight after I booked it. This was shown on a print out from the manager at holiday inn. After an hour of standing in the lobby arguing all points across from all sides, we were given a room. Sleeping in the car not needed after all, but furious with hotels.con who denied all knowledge. 9pm city centre with a 6 year old after walking round city all day. Great Fun. Hotel was basic but really clean and great facilities.

This hotel has no elevator. We had to carry heavy luggage up to the 2nd floor. The air conditioning was not working at all. Hotel managers didn’t offer to change room or give discounts for such a problem. Bad experience !

Nice place at the right price

From the moment we walked in the staff were so friendly our room was ready even though we were a little early.it was a good sized room with plenty of home comforts including dressing gown slippers coffee maker and a fridge with water and a chocolate treat . The food was worth the money and in the bar area it was a pleasant atmosphere to have a drink after exploring the area the pool and gym area were a lovely space to relax with again helpful friendly staff Didnt have a pen to fill out the comments in the room but definitely a ten Thankyou for a lovely stay

Stay was good staff all very pleasant room was good. Only complaint was that there was only 1 drinks machine at breakfast and always a queue so food got cold while waiting to get a cup of tea or tea got cold when fetching my breakfast and the usual toaster that doesn’t toast properly but the breakfast was good

Nice hotel, and great facilities, Breakfast was very good, But we couldn't use the pool area due to classes in progress, on a bank holiday. We selected the hotel because of the pool area.

Decent stay at the Holiday Inn, Impington… but it was slightly ruined by a Prom Night in the hotel which we was not made aware of prior to booking (or subsequent correspondence). Tbh, it might not of been a problem, but it was, due to the hall being positioned off the hotel rooms.. allowing for the kids to run freely in and out of rooms, leave music playing etc. Needless to say, I had words (when you have 2 children being constantly woke up you tend to!).. which was received with lip, and cockiness and even a tug of my arm from one child! That all aside.. we would stay again. But I’d want reassurances prior to booking that no event is on in the hall, purely down to its location. Pool - decent size B/fast - very nice Bar area / entertainment - also good

Well furnished. Comfortable Nice to have sofa and table and chairs in room plus nice coffee. Fantastic espresso martinis made by Ana at the bar. Very impressed.

Great bank holiday weekend here! Nice hotel, decent gym and spa, bar well equipped. Lovely staff… special shout out to Silvia and Edward at the front desk! Super nice and welcoming, got some freebies as it was my birthday thanks! Overall well looked after and would definitely recommend this hotel

Without exception all staff were friendly and keen to make my stay special. The room was large , food excellent and pool/area gym an added bonus

Reception was smart and up to date. My room was a little tired, but clean tidy.
