It’s mediocre luxury at best. The rooms are the smallest cubicles I’ve seen in my life and facing a wall of a nearby building. I paid over 1100 CHF for a night for what felt at best a prison cell. There was no walking space between wall and bed that I bumped into the TV!
When I even asked the receptionist about the rooms and all they were unapologetic. The breakfast was lovely and facing nice views. The only thing redeeming the place is that it’s facing the lake and is greatly located in the walkable part of Zurich.

You must stay at this hotel as it is one of the only hotels that caters for all and gives more.
I travel a lot and it is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at and it simply is amazing !!!
Service , food , staff , and facilities are amazing and great location and amazing view of the river.
When in Zurich I will always stay here as it is wonderful in every way and they absolutely do everything possible to please clients.

The hotel is right in the city center by the Zurich lake, this hotel is very meticulous, preparing almost everything in the room to bring more convenience to all people who travel abroad. It's one of my favorite hotel. Good service, Great food and Convenient.

We appreciate very much the overall ambience and decor, really first class, and the truly excelent restaurant on the sixth floor.
We were disappointed that our room was not ready at 3PM. For a hotel of this class this is not acceptable.

Terrible customer service appalling attitude. The smallest room I have ever been in a hotel. The hotel made the most ridiculous suggestions to me. Unlike any five star hotel I have ever stay. They are always right no customer service, lack of commerciality. It’s a disgrace for La Reserve. Do not think it has anything to do with any other hotel of the group. The building and the renovation is to exacting standards.

We didn’t stay at the hotel . We cancelled in July because of COVID the reservation and this past week the hotel charged my card for 3 nights $ 1500.00 dollars because Expedía didn’t cancelled my room after I called Expedia in July requesting the cancellation of my reservation.
I called Expedia this week and I was back snd for…..ignored completely. Waiting for an answer.

The staff made you feel like you were asking a favor. We asked for a 12:30/1:00 checkout and they said absolutely not with the same tone of displeasure. The curtains were broken in the bedroom. Turndown surface was sloppy.

The hotel has been amazingly newly renovated, but the reception staffs are not very friendly, there is no smile , no warm welcome. They looked like we owed them a million. They do their job, but no friendly service. We stayed in the same hotel a few years ago. They were better than the new staffs. Especially the receptionist male staffs , not very friendly. It is not worthy for the expensive price.

We reach at 5 pm , the rooms were ready and the staff told us that they were waiting for us .
Staff are wonderful , concierge staff are amazing specially Kubilay Karaca , he helped and made even a daily plan for the site visits (Itinerary)
The direct access to the lake is only on this hotel
Location of the hotel is the best .
I took the balcony room , I believe it was the best room on the hotel since we have a large balcony with direct view to the lake .
We took our Breakfast daily on the room on the balcony . ( room number 42 )
Also we took another room for the children ( room 41 ) it was connected rooms with also a balcony but not direct view to the lake .

Fantastic ovation overlooking the lake. Active social area pedestrian area around the lake. Great shops and restaurants within walking distance.

This is a lovely older hotel in the perfect location to explore Zurich. Our room was very nice overlooking the lake and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer experience for our first trip to Switzerland. Everything was great. The only (very) minor thing was the mattress in our room that was a bit too soft for us but that is a totally subjective item and should in no way deter anyone from staying at this wonderful, older establishment.

Great service and very good food. The hotel is really well placed and I would have given it a brilliant rating but for one small issue. The temperature in the shower varied quite a bit--not dangerously but an inconvenience. Other than that I recommend Eden au Lac very highly.

Beautiful and well-situated hotel in Zurich across the street from the glistening Lake Zurich and lovely lake-side park. All staff was professional, helpful and friendly. We greatly enjoyed the evening seafood menu served in the comfortable piano bar. Pianist was talented and engaging. Hotel restaurant was delicious for breakfast and dinner (we did not have lunch), and roof-top bar had an amazing view of the entire city. Highly recommend for couples and families.

We tried 2 rooms but both with bad air conditioning. We had to check out were the front desk manager replied when we explained our dissatisfaction that the the air conditioning you are used to in the Middle East is different than here!BTW we found insects in the bathroom

The Hotel is across the street from the lake and a short walk to the city center. The rooftop bar is nice at night. We stayed here twice. Both booked at the same time for a stay around 3 weeks apart. The first time we were given a smaller room on the top floor that was tired and old feeling. The door to the rooftop bar was right near our room and it was very noisy. The second stay was on a lower floor and in a nicer room. I would not stay their on the 5 floor ever again.

I enjoyed the location right across the street from the lake. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are set up nicely. Mine was a bit small but perfectly situated for one person.

Staff there very lazy; very unresponsive to enquiries; very unhelpful; failed to act on instructions. All in all, everything is money money money...no money no talk. Fine dining there was indeed not as such - Restaurant Eden literally not able to render service up to a fine dining standard; but charged at a fine dining rate - super expensive!!!

This hotel has a great roof top bar which was perfect for a sunset and gin and tonic. The proximity to the Lake cant be beat and it is on many public transit routes. The hotel staff are lovely and the food is good. It is and old luxury hotel with history which for some reason has a new money appeal to the posh hipster crowd. Its like if your Grandfathers Old Den became an Ace Hotel. Its odd but still, lovely staff and great access to the Lake.

What was outstanding was the front desk. Very nice and helpful in arranging for theater tickets, excursion Etc. Three wonderful ladies very well trainerd.
