Hotel was ok. Clearly being renovated. There were maybe 4 or 5 guests the whole weekend (based on parked cars overnight.) We were there for 3 nights and on the last night, for some reason, the management put people in the room directly next to us - who proceeded to have a raucous party all night. We complained but nothing changed. Why, in an empty hotel, were they put next to us?

My room was spacious and very neat. Loved the balcony you could see the harbor and the sunrise was beautiful

Omg what a mess. There is too much to even explain. Supposedly there was some construction, but there was piles of stuff everywhere. The lobby was fine, but you could tell that was original. That area was fairly clean. But the rest was not. Elevators were old. The rooms were a hodgepodge of decor which some was new and some was old.

We enjoyed our stay at the Silver Beach hotel. It’s very conveniently located for walks along Silver Beach and there are several nice restaurants that are in walking distance as is downtown Saint Joseph for shopping. The hotel itself recently reopened after being closed several years during COVID. As such the pool has not been re-opened and there are parts areas of the hotel that are in a various states of construction. Our room was good, except there was no curtain on the shower and the TV was not high definition as we have grown accustomed to. Continental breakfast was OK. I think it has potential to be a much better hotel, but as of now it seems a little rough on the edges. Attaching a photo of a wonderful sunset over Lake Michigan we took from the hotel back balcony.

The best part of the stay is the location. The room was very generic, no refrigerator and the tv had the fuzziest picture you’ve seen since the 90s.

We had a nice stay. The only inconvenient is that there is no refrigerator in the room. The pool was under construction, we were not able to use it. Walking distance from restaurants/stores. I definitely recommend staying here.

There is a smell in the hallways.
Generally this place needs to employ more personel to clean rooms.
Phones in rooms are disconnected. If you need to contact front desk this is not possible.
TV do not provide an access to local network.

Everything is half done. Our room had no remote, handles on furniture fallen off, reused room card folder so many times it had a mountain of white out. Painted halfway, construction all half done with no sign of progress. Staff doesn’t even get off their ass of the back room to come and help you at front desk. Phone didn’t work.

We had no issues at the hotel, a great location. Unfortunately, it needs a lot of updating. The beds were clean.

The hotel didn't make it through Covid. It was bought and renovated. Our room was excellent. Very comfortable bed and pillows and the flow of the room was good. The common areas still show wear and tear but it's a process and everything seemed clean. The breakfast is meager, if you are used to a continental breakfast you will be disappointed. For the price and location silver beach hotel cannot be beat. I'm so glad they are open again

Location is great for St. Joe. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I understand the property was recently (at least partially) updated, but still needs some work. The first room I was assigned had no place to hang clothes and the toilet in the second room backed up, but only once. The free breakfast was meager at best.

Our second year staying here for a summer beach getaway. Close distance to walk to town and a little bit farther is the beach. The room we had was renovated with hardwood floor. It was comfortable and loved the balcony. Staff was very accommodating with room choice. I know the pool is still closed but hopefully it will be open when we go next year. Will be back then

If of all not enough linens in bath no exhaust fan in the ceiling was peeling. The TV did not have a good picture. It was all snowy I’ve never stayed in hotel with the TV. Was that terrible?
There is no Lakeview rooms. You can’t even see the lake from up on the fourth floor. The only exception it was close to downtown Saint Joe. I would never stay there again and the breakfast was a joke. It was very sloppy. Nothing was wiped down the fruit looked old, not a good breakfast

It was our honeymoon and we did not have a great experience. The 1st room we went to had a mini fridge that was leaking water into carpet and tv was static image.
We called front desk and they changed our room across the hall. Our new room had peeling ceilings, toilet flushing issues, and noisy guests playing cornhole in parking lot until 1am outside our room.
Also, we were awakened by a loud crane painting exterior of building.
We usually like this hotel due to walkable convenience but probably won’t stay here again in future,

The only thing I was disappointed about was that they didn’t have the pool ready and I found out that they were not going to finish it, but everything else was great

The location of the hotel was great. I was able to walk to all of the main attractions: Silver Beach, shopping State St., Lions Beach, etc. Check in and out was easy. The room was clean and had a small balcony. They provided Dove products, which was nice touch. Overall, it was good value.

The service was fine, but the advertising and description for the hotel is lacking. The pool is “out of order” and closed indefinitely as there is curtains covering what used to be the pool area. The breakfast consisted of yogurt, bagels, and cereal. What I was most disillusioned with was the cleanliness of our room. The lobby and main areas of the hotel were clean, but I felt our room was not as clean as it should be! Spiders/webs galore and the bathroom/floors didn’t appear to have been cleaned at all. Very disappointed overall.

Beds are very uncomfortable. The TV is hazy, making it difficult to watch a movie. The outside area looks run down and lacks a bar or pool. The breakfast consists of bagels, cereal, muffins, fruit, and yogurt.

Staff was very friendly. Room was ok. Beds were worrisome. The legs were bent and the bed was on wheels so it moved away from the wall. The tvs were super outdated and the hotel looked like it could used some updates all around. We really didn’t spend a lot of time in the room so it wasn’t an inconvenience but the price was high for what we got.

Ants, Ants, Ants. The room was full of ants. The floor looked like it hadn't been mopped in ages. The ambient noise from the road was disturbing.

The floor in the room seemed to be a bit dusty. Needed to be swept up better. There were areas of construction around the motel that were a bit of an eyesore depending on the entrance/exit used. The staff was friendly, and the location is great for area restaurants and shopping.

Prime location for downtown St Joe, the rooms have been updated on a budget but are clean. The hallway carpet is gross though… affordable and ok for a quick one night stay.

This hotel was very poorly run. Two out of the three lamps had no lightbulbs in them. Picture of the television was fuzzy, lip sync was off, it was very difficult to understand what was being said. Breakfast consisted of stale muffins and a toaster that did not work. The tissue paper and toilet paper are the cheapest that they could find. The shower had no shelves on which to put your soap or shampoo.

Great location; but the owners are allowing the property to deteriorate. I was surprised by a missed opportunity to be a great hotel.

Great location. This hotel used to have an indoor pool and bar. Would be much nicer when all the hotel could offer is functional .The hotel staff work so hard and seem so stretched. They seem like a nice family operating and transitioning the hotel.
