The room and furniture was horrible, the carpet looked cleaner than the chair. The only reason we stayed was the bed was new. We had to run the water for 45 minutes before it was warm enough to take a shower. I booked and paid on the app, when I checked in, the hotel also charged me. I was told, by Tammy on June 28th, that it would be refunded and as of today has not been. So, this room actually cost me almost $200/ night and wasn't worth $25/ night

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We actually spoke to the owner our first night there. And he explained to us some of his plans. And on our last night there, he actually took us to show us some of the updates he has already done and his future plans. My family and I are very excited to return and see the rest of the updates soon!!

This has such a French Quarter vibe!! It’s being renovated and the new owners are amazing! I can’t wait to see the finished product!! Super comfortable new mattresses and I loved the pool and hot tub!

If you like taking cold showers, this is the property for you. Called the front desk, they did absolutely nothing about it and did nothing to try to solve it or fix it. Breakfast was very disappointing, room, temperature, coffee.

The property is being renovated and they have already made it amazing with mattresses and linens that are extremely comfortable. The indoor pool was great and full of families having fun. The breakfast was good, I liked the waffles especially. The property is going to be amazing when it’s totally finished. Great place for a great rest and a good nights sleep

Hotel is dilapidated and run down. No other cars in the lot. Asked around and other people strongly suggested not to stay there. Didnt feel safe staying with a child.

I'm very upset I had a room booked for the wrong date and tried and tried to cancel with hotel and hotels com and they wouldn't let me before it was time to check in. I've went with hotels dot com for years and if I'm now t refunded or at less get a hotel night for free. Thank u for ur understanding

The property at one point you can tell was neat. However it is ran down. The pillows are lumpy, the towels had holes, the hot tub was not open, the pool was supposed to be heated but was 70 and freezing. There were two pool tables but one was broken. After my husband left and it was just myself and 3 kids they sent a man to the room to check our heat. Which was weird and uncomfortable. Not sure I would stay again.

We did not end up staying. We checked into our room and immediately walked out after inspecting the bed. Yellow/orange stained mattresses with blood stained sheets.

Worst stay ever..no heat no hot water no towels or toilet paper! Beds have huge food in them and sheets had someone’s hair all over, carpet in main areas is held down by weights there’s a waterfall from the celing and the tubs were stained with dirt and grime. Floors had not been cleaned and prostitutes in lobby at night along with squatters! And staff was doing drugs in parking lot. They wouldn’t refund my money either and owner was onsite trying to sell the dump and was not nice at all…box of cereal on counter for breakfast to! Do not stay here!!!!

The condition of the hotel was terrible!!! It needs a complete refurbishment. The employees were wonderful and tried hard. I won't stay here again, until things are fixed.

The carpet left my feet black. The phone was missing buttons and was dirty, cord fell out when we called the desk so walked down. The hot tub was broken. There was a gap around the door,beds were uneven, but No bed bugs. Air conditioning didn't cool great even on high in our room. The breakfast left ALOT to be desired. The pool was nice and the pool tables and golf were a good distraction. Will not stay at another Howard Johnson.

When I booked our reservation this hotel was listed as Howard Johnson Wyndham . Since I have had good experiences with Wyndham properties, I didn't hesitate to book our stay. When we arrived there was only HoJo signage everywhere -- nothing reflected Wyndham ownership. When we arrived at about 430pm there were 2 people on a bench outside by the entrance smoking pot. When we approached the registration desk the woman had us wait about 1 minute while she finishing chewing her chips. No uniforms were present on anyone. We stayed in room 139 and the room was horrible -- dirty stained carpet, the vanity sink was cracked in several places, the toilet loudly whistled when flushed, the drapes were quite wrinkled. Under one of the blankets folded at the end of the bed was a notebook apparently left by a previous guest. We had 2 queen beds and out of the 8 available electrical outlets in this area only one worked. Whenever we tried to plug in our devices the plug just wiggled loosely and would fall out. The outside of the property reminded us of a rundown 2story motel from the 60's.

I stayed here in 2016 and could see it was a property in decline but it has gotten worse. Filthy floors, dirt on walls, sad this place was once a gem I'm sure. It is styled after New Orleans motif but little sitting areas outside rooms are filled with cleaners, solvents, filth, unsafe for kids and disgusting. THERE ARE FULL TIME RESIDENTS living here, which indicates the status of this dump. It was once a beautiful place but is a cess pool, keep driving or pay a little more for some self respect.

Bad service, filthy room, weed smell in lobby. Yard not mowed. Breakfast was box of generic cereal and loaf of bread thrown on the counter. Run down hotel that people rent long term and their kids running around parking lot late at night. TERRIBLE. SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN

The only thing that was good about my stay was kira the one that booked me in that was the only thing about my stay everything else was terrible if she wasn't there it would have been horrible it was horrible but she was there and she made it is good as she could she told me she wouldn't even stay there I am very upset I really think I should get my money back because it's all lies there was mold their jacuzzi didn't work their weight room wasn't working their vending machines didn't have nothing in it it was horrible

If you’re looking for a unique experience in a cool but outdated place, this is it. Hotel room was damp, sheets didn’t look or feel fresh, overall the room was grimy and had a weird smell throughout. Breakfast left a lot to the imagination, just some cereal boxes, bread, milk, and packaged burritos. The staff were actually nice when my key card didn’t work but overall wouldn’t recommend if you e got children, enjoy cleanliness, or a decent breakfast in the morning.

The hot tub had no water, i have reason to believe the beds were just made up without changing the linen my coffee pot was gross and the bottom was bubbled up so changed it out for a different one however so much soap was used to clean it that no matter how much water i ran through it, never was able to make coffee during my stay
