A very comfortable and clean hotel in a great and scenic location. We went for a riverview room and were treated to an amazing view of not only the river, but some of the many bridges in the area. The staff was great and the woman Gretchen who registered and was working the front desk was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay.

So happy we chose Kimpton Riverplace Hotel for our 2 night stay in Portland. The location is gorgeous and very walkable. But the staff are what make this place really shine. They are truly exceptional and made our stay extra special.

One of the quietest hotel room I’ve ver stayed in. Very walkable to shops and restaurants. Portland has cleaned up more than I thought was possible.

If you love dogs, do go. They are not just dog friendly but there seem to be as many dogs as humans staying there. There was a brutal dog fight that occurred early morning while we were trying to sleep one dog was injured and the owners couldn’t quiet or control their animals. I would never stay at this “dog hotel” again.
In addition, they did not have the room we booked for the first night in spite of my reservation.

This is a very special spot! The location is perfect - outside of the Portland hub bub and homeless situation but close enough to get anywhere fast!

This property is in a stellar location in Portland. It is riverfront with convenient parking. The staff is amazing: friendly and efficient. The rooms are five-star.

I would have given the hotel 4-5 stars. I booked a king suite and it was nice, quiet & roomy. Everything was nice until I checked out. The guy at the front desk was extremely rude to me. I was just going over the bill and had every right to question a few things. A hotel is a hospitality job and he failed in that department. I won't be returning to this hotel. I want to fully enjoy my stay from start to finish.

Great hotel in a great location along the river. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. Management needs to pay attention to upkeep and fix minor cosmetic issues before becoming bigger problems. Our room was dirty, with burnt matchsticks and other items on the floor. The restaurant is terrible. I’ve had better meals in a cafeteria. We’ve given them several chances but won’t again.

I don't know if this is issue with the hotel or booking through expedia, I booked and paid for a king bed and ended up having a queen. When mentioned to hotel, they said we can't do anything and no refund because it is booked through expedia and that means whatever room is available to me I should get. Important detail to know. I stay in a hotel or b&b almost every month for years and this never happened to me.

We were put in a room where construction crews were right outside our window, loudly grinding and sawing siding. So loud i couldn't speak on the phone or open draps for privacy. Why pay extra for a river view and not be able to open the drapes? We did change rooms
