We stayed here after a wedding. There are limited options for lodging in Hope, and this is the only “name brand” one. The property hasn’t been updated in potentially 30 years so it’s musky, but the rooms are large. The room and property was not worth the almost $200 we spent for the night, but it did the job for 8 hours of sleep.

The main office is only open from 9:30 am until 9:00 pm. The so called continental breakfast doesn’t start until 9:30 am. The place smelled of cigarettes when I walked into the office. Our room wasn’t vacuumed, the dishes in the cupboard were dirty. When it comes to washing the dishes you have to use the bathroom sink because there is no other sink. That bathroom sink had no plug either. Parking was a joke with only one handicapped spot that was utilized by a non-handicapped vehicle. There are no identifiable lights on the main road that let you know where the Travelodge is. Very dark. The price is way too high for what you get.

Horrible customer service. Showed up 8 minutes after 9 pm.....was informed check in was before 9 and we no longer had a reservation. Apparently I should have informed the road construction crew to let us go faster as we needed to be there at 8:59....not a second later! Never will stay at a Travelodge ever again! Worst customer service/experience I have ever had!

Smells like stale smoke, dead ants all over, run down/moldy/peeling walls and missing trim…horribly overpriced for zero maintenance to the building.

Hotel well serves for 1 night stay. A bit outdated, but our suite had everything we needed, even separate room with kitchen. Breakfast to go is quite nice but starts a bit late - 9:30. Special thanks to the staff for their great service! They could locate and secure our valuables we left behind and we picked it up on our way back. Thank you Barbara and Andrea! Overall good stay

The overpriced room came with a free breakfast till 11am. We got there around 10:50 and they refused to give us breakfast. I would have actually been totally fine with that as we were cutting it close but the food was yogurt and granola bars with tea and coffee. I asked if we could grab a coffee to go as it wasn't 11 yet and the woman barked at us, said it was 11, and locked up the cabinets. This is probably a good thing cause the smell of stale cigarettes in there was overwhelming.

Room was a good size but need was horrible. Hot tub was colder than the pool. Breakfast was just before checkout home which was very inconvenient. Overall, would not stay out recommend

This is a basic hotel with no frills the not so friendly staff did help the situation. Of all the hotels that we stayed in Canada this was the worst.

The property smelt of smoke m, the rooms were dirty and unclean.

There was absolutely nothing about this property and our room that we liked. The manager was ignorant and our room stunk of smoke, and was the filthiest Hotel room I've stayed in ever. This Hotel should be demolished

Good staff

Air conditioning did not work. Very hot in the room all night. The hallway was cooler. One of our reading light bulbs was loose and had fallen against the lamp shade. Both were reported upon check out

Limited front desk staffing, prepackaged breakfast items available at 930, when most overnight travellers have left. OK to spend overnight but not longer.

Lobby smelled of cigarette smoke, no top sheet on one of the beds so didn’t use the blanket, continental breakfast items such as granola bars and muffins all gone , got a sorry no sheets and a shrug

Nice place in the 1980’s. Real tired now. WiFi real bad. Tried to plan our travel for the next day using Maps and couldn’t do it. Ice machine broken. 32 deg C. Avoid this place.

This hotel is very dated and you must check in by 9pm which seems very early. The front desk clerk was very nice but the hotel desperately needs to be renovated.

The included breakfast didn’t start until 9:30 am, far too late in the day for us travellers, so we had to leave earlier, without any breakfast.

Very pleasant and great staff

It was nice to have a pool, but it wasn't very clean. The room only had 1 coffee pod, though the room can sleep 4 adults. The windows had no screens.

Came from Prince George to pick up my fathers ashes with my mom and Aunty. The lady at the check in instantly told us to get away from the counter. My uncle lives in hope, and is a known member of the cumminity. He met us at the hotel with my fathers ashes and it’s been a very hard time. We did not know how to turn the AC on. My uncle who clearly wasn’t staying with us, went and asked how to use it for us. The lady flipped at him and said it’s only reserved for 3 people and he said he lives here and is just meeting us here. The lady then tells him the switch is on the wall and to “get out of here.” So my uncle said “ for 177 dollars for 1 night, you could be a little more polite” and she proceeds to kick him out. Very disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. Not happy what so ever with our stay. My uncle will be leaving a review as well. As it was very un necessary. Been waiting 7 months to come pick up my fathers ashes and this is the greetings we get. Thank you a lot, will not be staying here ever again.

Very convenient location, totally acceptable accommodation.

The property needs to come out of the past. The carpet should be chucked. We were supposed to have queen beds and ended up with doubles. They need new mattresses. I would not stay again or recommend it to anyone. The tv and cable box weren’t plugged in and neither were the lamps. The plugs really need to be updated as well it wouldn’t hurt to update the toilet your almost on the ground. Be alright for a kid. Over all not happy

Property and building needs overhaul. Broken fencing, broken window trim.

I do not recommend this hotel after they stayed my family with kids outside at 9:30 pm.

Stayed here with 2 of my young daughters while travelling to Victoria. Great location, the pool was very nice, very clean and my kids had a blast. Lots of places to eat nearby, the staff were kind and helpful.

Handy location with a nice pool.

Too cold in the room. No cleaning of the room in the two nights I was there. Some repairs needed in the shower.

Very strict pet policy, rude staff, dirty beds had dog hair all over them and other gross stuff. Front desk staff very unaccomodating. Ended up leaving and staying elsewhere. I got a full refund which was the best part of my experience.

Everything was fine except the front desk clerk had never heard of an electric car. When I told her I had a tesla, she seemed unfounded and told me that I have to drive in as the diesel exhaust upsets people. I explained that electric cars do not have gasoline or diesel engines, only electric motors and she seemed dumbfounded and still ordered me to drive in.

The property was very accommodating with us, as we were travelling for essential purposes (medical assessments) during the pandemic. the front counter staff was so sweet and kind to us. the pool was open and there is a limit of who can go, which was no issue at all. we have stayed here a few times over the years and choose it each time. across the road from popular restaurants too.

We enjoy our stay in this hotel..it’s clean and everything you need is there. People are helpful and Nice... the location are great.. if we coming again we choose this travelodge hotel again.. thank u
