Beautiful property in an incredible location with a stunning view!

The AC in the room did not work, there was no hot water. Plenty of parking but they still charge for it. Expensive good that is terrible. View of lake was actually a view of the AC units

Be prepared. When you give them a card for incidentals to be charged extra. We bought 2 drinks one was nonalcoholic and the other one had alcohol in it, and charged them to our room and the cost was $36. She couldn’t tell us what the drink charge was. We also paid for the room up front and was charged a resort fee on top of all other charges. Don’t expect to find coffee away from your room without paying for it. Food was way very expensive. I guess I am use to the poor man’s vacation where you get a Continental breakfast and coffee for free even if it’s a reduced version of what they have. Even at the cheaper hotels you get free coffee in the lobby, in the morning.

We had a great stay. Loved the room, main floor and large deck outside of main level. Will definitely stay here again when the opportunity presents.

The location and view are stunningly beautiful. The hotel is well kept. Those are big advantages.
Two things they need to address: 1. The decor and furnishings are getting old and are in need of updating. All very traditional and old fashioned looking. Even traditional decor needs updating from time to time. We didn't feel like we were in a nice hotel because it felt so out of style and kind of long in the tooth.
2. The food - we had dinner and breakfast - is mediocre at best with little attention to detail. A request for no bacon on a sandwich went unheeded and showed up on the sandwich. The taste of the food is not the quality you expect from a place trying to be upscale. Think frozen, not fresh like the fried potatoes I tried to eat and powdered eggs on the buffet unless you specifically ask for freshly made.
Eventually your view and site can only compensate for so much.

It’s a beautiful old hotel; very elegant.

Absolutely stunning hotel with a breath taking view and friendly staff. We have come here twice and it is always such a treat. The staff is incredible!

There was places that need painting. There was rust looking stains running down the wall in the pool and the handicap lift was rusting. The tube needed some work. The seal around the tub was disgusting.

It was nice. The room was outdated. They do not offer daily room service, we called for room service one day but no one ever came. The front desk was helpful when we needed something. The restaurant was mediocre and the service was friendly but slow.

The ice machine will not give me more than one cup of ice and we only had one plastic cup for drinking water….the room was supposed to be with partial view but didn’t see any!!
2.0
Hotel is dated, at one time I could see it was the place to stay at, it’s not a big deal anymore. On my floor the ice machine was not working when I checked in and was not working when I checked out. I had blond hairs in my towels, my wife has black hair and I have a shaved bald head. No soap in the shower soap dispenser, noisy ALL night with some sort of mechanical noise. And please tell me what is a thirty five dollar resort fee? My stay was in the room and nothing else! Furniture looks like something from the 1970s that Elvis picked out, I think it’s some kind of crushed velvet. They also charge ten dollar's a night to park in an outside parking lot. Tile falling off of the interior walls, several more things that I don’t have time to mention. But with all this I can assure you that I will not stay there again.

Amazing. Quiet, clean cozy room. Easy access to staff and necessities. Lovely holiday decoration. Had the opportunity to have quiet nights at the pool and hot tub. Wonderful memories.

What a beautiful place. We always enjoy our stay. I was a little disappointed that they have started charging to park. The stay, food, etc. is super high as it is. Why not gig your customers with one more cost? We also waited a long time to get our dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

The Hot Tub is not a Hot Tub. Jets qont even touch the back and temp was like bath water. Sauna closes at 6pm... Really! Outside of that the stay this far is fine.

This was such a comfortable and easy stay. Staff are all super nice and helpful and warm. My kids loved the amenities (theater, pool, saunas, the deck, sweets shop) and I enjoyed walking my dog out on the grass, just exploring the grounds. A lot of extras and fees but they make it worthwhile.

The property was nice, dated but clean. I didn’t like that I had to pay resort fees upon check out, the price per night should be the price per night. Also as a disabled individual, I had to pay $40 to park in a handicapped parking space. You shouldn’t have to pay for parking at this hotel period, disabled or not.

Nice place to stay, paying for parking is unnecessary.

The room was very outdated and needs to be renovated. The hotel needs to have a nightly rate and quit adding all those extra charges, like parking and resort fees.

We stayed at this hotel about two years ago for an anniversary, and it was very nice and accommodating. However, since our last stay, this hotel has drastically changed. When we first arrived, we were greeted with a parking fee on top of the amount we were already charged for our stay. This would be understandable if we were in a larger city with limited parking. However, a very large portion of the parking lot was completely empty. Not to mention, we were already charged for “resort fees” in our booking. Then, once we pulled back our bedding at the end of the night, there was a used tissue tucked into the sheets. We were unsure if this was from hotel staff or a previous guest, but either way, you could understand our discomfort. Finally, we went to have breakfast the morning of our departure and it was almost $70 for 2 adults, 1 child, and mediocre at best. Our waitress also took a considerable amount of time between attending on us, and the breakfast area was practically empty. We feel extremely overcharged for an experience that did not reach half of our expectations from what we saw online and experienced previously, and could have been superseded in cleanliness, breakfast quality, and value at a much cheaper hotel.

The hotel was beautiful inside and out. The only thing we had any trouble with was house keeping, and that was just having to ask twice for more towels and bathroom tissue and they didn't come clean at all during our 5 night stay.
Chase at the front desk was excellent for advice and tips on Branson and was very pleasant to deal with. The sweet shop was a great place to have dessert and the coffee was a must. The Breakfast buffet was super delicious as well and worth the 20$ per person (you're pretty much going to spend that somewhere else as well). We didn't try the spa because we were going so much. Overall it was a good experience here and i would go back

Chase at the front desk was amazing! Lattes at sweet shoppe were perfection! Both of these people saved me from leaving a terrible review. The restaurant had selective hours and almost told us to go eat elsewhere 30 minutes before they closed. They also provide no room service but state it on the website that they do. Nothing was open past 9pm and the staff could not give us complimentary bottled waters even after 9pm. Rooms didn’t scream clean. They weren’t dirty but not hotel clean. Overall, for what we were paying I wish there hours of restaurants and bars and kid stuff were open longer because you don’t get back from shows until after 9pm so all the amenities are worthless if you dont have access to them.

I thought it was terrible that we had to pay to park. It’s not like we were in NYC where parking comes at a premium.I felt like we overpaid for what services we got.

The multiple onsite dining options and movie room were really nice features

The view from your room balcony is beautiful! That is the best part of the stay!
I had several issues:
1. At check in I was not told that your room will only be cleaned/clean towels left if requested. I checked in on a Friday and on Sunday i called the front desk to ask why my room hadn't been cleaned and what's when i found out it needed to be requested! At that time i put in a request for a Monday clean. Monday evening my room still hadn't been cleaned and no clean towels left! I went to the front desk and spoke to the manager. She assured me it would be cleaned before we returned for the evening.
Got back to my room and the trash was gone and clean towels left. No clean sheets, sinks not wiped down, room not vacuumed.
2. Ordered room service (no one delivers, you get a call when it's ready abd pick it up yourself) and an item was left off 1 of the meals. Called the restaurant and had to leave a message. No one called back to correct the issue. I will say the food that we received was amazing!
The most frustrating thing about the whole ordeal is the hotel charges a resort fee, but for what??? They even charge $7 if you drink the bottled water in ypur room!
On a positive note, i was refunded the resort fee for 4 nights and the $10/day parking!

Great location and very quiet. I was able to go to bed early and was never disturbed once during our stay. Highly recommend for early risers and couples. View was hard to beat as well. Room overlooking the lake was stunning.

Great stay at the chateau on the lake. Beautiful property.

Beautifully maintained hotel and grounds. Impeccable staff from the door man to registration to the food service staff and bartender.
Worth every penny.
The only downside I could find were the restoration and spa hours were quite limited.

We had never stayed there before. Always drove by it on the way to SDC. Rooms were quiet and clean. Maybe it is not for us, I did not see what the $32 site fee got us. And not used to paying to park. The man out front took our bags up and he was nice.

I can't say enough good things about the staff. The facility was quiet and made for a comfortable peaceful stay.

Room was very nice, as was the view of the lake. The concierge that greeted us was very friendly and informative. On that bote, actually the entire staff we met were very pleasant. The breakfast buffet was tasty and not overly expensive. We really enjoyed the sweets shop as well. Sadly we only came for a day trip, but we will certainly be returning.!
