Beautiful old building and nice staff, but very thin walls and tiny bathroom.

Classy and well run

The exteria of the hotel is very beautiful. Everything inside the building is stylish and well designed. The beds were very comfortable, great hot water and pressure in the shower. Location is fantastic with easy access to the city via the light rail. The only downside is that the parking is very limited and the spaces quite tight.

Property is dated and very basic (no cups/glasses in room, let alone tea or coffee facilities) but it's in a great eastern suburbs location.

For us the location was perfect with the tram to the city almost right outside our door. Great character space. Highly recommend the cafe 22 grams.

The hotel was lovely. The courtyard was an added bonus and quiet even though it was on a busy street. Everything you need on your doorstep

Hi I stayed at the property for a couple of nights over Australia Day . The main issue one could have is not getting a shared balcony unless beforehand request it . The room I thought I was getting featured a balcony at the front but in reality was given a room at the back on the side just a room. Upon going back to reception and calmly detailing the situation we went from a room, to the best room imo. The only other issues for me were inside the air conditioner unit was a build up of blackish mould on the internal plastic airflow to the room. I’d prefer if it was white , no ill effects or mould smell was noticed. And finally the refrigerator is not a compressor type so it can take more than 24 hours to cool some 1.5 litre bottles of drink, an upgrade here would be easy and positive. On the plus side transport to the city is easy on the L2 tram . Parking no issue for free street parking . Noise well the front rooms would be noisier than the rest but that is expected and the noise is minimal as well sound proofed . Bedding , temperature and fresh air perfect. Would I stay again?, most definitely .

Our only issues would be the room we were in #20, is quite noisy at night,traffic, people walking past talking and the pedestrian traffic lights beeping. Also hot water was pretty non existent.

We have stayed here several times- the price is good, the location is excellent- with the light rail only across the road- so easy to access the city cheaply, rather than driving in. There is a small shopping centre up the road a short walk, with Harris Farm, Woolies and quite a few smaller shops. The location is a big win. The rooms are lovely- always clean and comfy with everything you need to stay. My only ever so slight gripe with the rooms is the bathrooms are very small...really small shower spaces, but it's not a deal breaker for me. Parking is limited, but there is plenty of street parking around, but they do have time limits on them (overnight you are good until 9am). There is a gorgeous courtyard with guest access only, which is a really lovely space to sit and relax. Be careful of some of the access steps- I have contacted the motel to let them know...they are different depths, so you must navigate them slowly. Reception staff are friendly and welcoming. Cannot fault them making a smooth check in/check out process. Too small issues for me (the showers and the stairs), but as I said- not a deal breaker for us- we'll be back at some stage I hope!

This was a very comfortable stay with a hike balance of hotel amenities and extras that made it feel like a home away from home. I was pleasantly surprised with access to full kitchen and washer and dryer, extra bathroom to use for shower if needed. Greta location at the end of the L2 line at Randwick that effortlessly takes you into Circular Quay downtown Sydney. Transportation is very inexpensive and easy to navigate. Hotel location is also a short bus ride away to both Coogee Beach and the popular Bondi Junction. Highly recommend!

Beautifully presented and renovated accomodation. Reception staff very happy and helpful ,made us feel welcome, We had astudio room,great for our needs , after a day at Randwick races. Transport to Randwick on tram across the road, and only 3 stops away. Many restaurants and a pub a short walk away. Supermarkets very handy as well. Will definitely be back. Thankyou

Stylish, comfortable rooms with all the amenities needed for a business or leisure stay. Right in the heart of Randwick shops, across the road from Prince of Wales Hospital and light rail to CBD and beyond.

The first room the blind fell off the wall and nearly hit me on the head. Once I was moved the key card didn’t let me back in. The office that was supposed to be manned until 10pm closed early. The lady was rude when I called her back to let me in

The property is beautiful, gorgeous architecture and lovely courtyard. The rooms are modern and stylish with comfy beds and rainfall shower. Greater attention to room cleanliness is needed ie. room corners, walls and tiles. This is the only small negative as service was fantastic.

There’s nothing I didn’t like. Close to required venue.

Excellent service

A great location, close to lots of cafes, restaurants and beach. Staff were friendly. Room was spacious and comfortable and the courtyard area was a nice space to sit and enjoy the sun. A suggestion to improve would to add a towel holder in the bathroom and hooks on the bathroom door.

Hotel room was fine. We were told we couldn’t book parking We were told after arrival that we should have rung that morning to book. We already had a request for parking on site when we booked the hotel. That wasn’t relayed to us earlier on booking. Spent another $41 and distance to park in an external carpark.

Charming character, lovely front desk staff, spacious rooms, quality in decor

I have stayed before and given five stars for a heritage room. This time I booked a studio. I would advise booking the heritage or courtyard rooms as a couple of the studio rooms were dark and uninviting, and had no view because they were under street level. However, I am giving five stars for the staff who were accommodating and friendly and managed to move us to a better room. Would definitely stay again in one of the better rooms.

Great stay, as always. Convenient location, can walk across the road to light rail, shops that stay open at night, plenty of dining options, walk to the beach in 20 minutes. Comfy room, great facilities. Helpful staff.

Very nice property, clean and good amenities. The only qualm I had was my room had a door that backed straight onto the street, which would've been fine if it was soundproofed but people that walked past literally sounded like they were in my room. Other than the noise, no complaints, everything was excellent. Cheers!

Comfy bed and room, great location, nicely furnished, clean, safe and easy to park nearby. Light rail just across the road. Staff are super helpful.
