Spacious room for three people at first floor. Next time I would prefer a room in a higher level which is less noisy and with a nicer view. Equipped with coffeemaker, enough towels and comfy beds I would recommend the room in general. Staff could be more attentive when guests checking in or out.

Excellent location

The hotel is in a great location for exploring the city. Literally on the doorstep of the old town and within 5 minutes walk of the cathedral, pintxos bars and the main market. Cross the river and you are in the new town. The Guggenheim is 20 minutes walk along the river . The reception staff were very helpful and the breakfast lady very pleasant. Breakfast was generally a cold buffet , the usual fruit, croissant and rolls with fillings and some hot Spanish omelette and bacon. Coffee machine was good and useable in the day. The room was clean and tidy with a comfortable bed and a defect shower, contained in a small cubicle. We were at the front of the hotel and it’s fairly noisy , at times in the night, with some locals appearing to want to party in the park opposite around 03.00 one night and then the waste collection at 05.30. Just needed to close the doors and put the air conditioning on instead. But in general a lovely hotel in a great spot for exploring.

Friendly staff, large spacious room with complimentary toiletries including toothbrush etc. tea/coffee facilities in room. Comfy bed. Breakfast is continental and you need to book your time slot as only a small area but no issues doing that. Great location.

Fabulous location very close to public transport and places nearby to eat and drink.

Location, friendly helpful staff. Noisy at time - lots of street noise at 4 am.

The hotel was very clean and the bed comfortable. The Wi-Fi did not work well. We arrived in early May and the air conditioning for the entire hotel hadn’t been turned on yet, which was unfortunate because our room was on the main intersection and it was loud throughout the afternoon and entire night. There was a protest for about an hour outside our room, lots of sirens, motorcycles and loud parties way into the night. We had no choice but to open the windows.

Nice comfortable hotel room was great warm and welcoming.... Morning breakfast buffet was poor. The weather was very bad rained everyday and was cold my break away was a disaster. Nothing to do with hotel just how things goes...

Very central hotel. No elevator access to top floor, seems like they give those to hotel booking sites. They allowed us to change as seniors don't want to haul luggage up the final floor.

Staff is very polite. Including amenities.

Friendly and helpful staff. We requested a room change because of jet lag and music playing in the square. We were quickly and graciously accommodated. Beautiful and spacious room. Loved the furniture, decor, amenities, closets, refrigerator and bathroom. Neighborhood was great for dining and shopping. Would definitely stay here again.

Ideally situated in the old town, ideal for bars, churches, cathedral etc. part of a chain but a small hotel feel.

Hotel is in a great location with lots of dining and shopping options. Parking garage is relatively close. The issues I had were….the AC in my room didn’t work and the guy at the front desk even restarted it but it still didn’t work, there is no AC in the breakfast room and it was miserably hot, the breakfast is average and the key card to our room stopped working a couple of times. Discounted parking garage is 18 euros.

The place is excellent. The hotel was beautiful clean Dave the guy that worked there was excellent. I got there early. There was no problem with checking the convenience to the Guggenheim museum. Everything was beautiful into old town. Loved it very much very clean, very safe and beautifully kept. The workers, the men that work there were excellent. Would definitely stay there again

Good location, too modest but too expensive hotel.

The key card kept malfunctioning. The room safe was not easy to use - was very inconvenienced since we had to carry all our cash and jewellery with us on a full day tour after we checked in.

Super location, right at the old town. Lovely room, comfy bed and a decent breakfast. Coffee at breakfast wasn’t great - everything was black even if you asked for milk in the machine. But a minor point. Breakfast offering was plentiful and tasty. Location, location, location were all that mattered here and that was perfect. Guggenheim was a 20 min walk along the river, metro was nearby. Lots of food options nearby in a vibrant and safe area. Taxi rank outside, and airport just 20 mins by taxi. Staff friendly and helpful.

Old building but very good position in city center of Casco Viejo one things that was during in the aste nagusia and there was a lot of annoying rumors at night

My stay at Sercotel Arena was excellent. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and well decorated. Furthermore, it’s location in the heart of the historic district, close to restaurant and tourist attractions, made our experience even more enjoyable.

The hotel was in a wonderful location but unfortunately the fiestas were extremely noisy and we got little if no sleep for three nights - despite this, we both enjoyed Bilbao very much and appreciated the wonderful culture of the city.

Helpful staff. Tastefully decorated spacious room with good selection of toiletries, kettle etc. Very comfortable bed. Hotel well situated in the centre of the city with good shops, restaurants & cafes nearby. There’s a very pleasant riverside walk to the Guggenheim gallery. Felt very safe walking around in the evenings.

We had a wonderful stay. Staff was wonderful. Location is great. Right next to Plaza Nueva with lots of restaurants. Close to lots of sights.

Little dated but rooms are very spacious and very clean.

Great location in the old town witb good transport links. Our room on the first floor was close to the breakfast room which was very noisy from early in the mornings.
