The lights went out while we stayed there. Our air conditioning and TV came on after an hour but the rest of our lights stayed off and we couldn’t get many channels. Because it happened in the middle of the night, we had no idea that power had been fully restored to the rest of the hotel after 45 mon

Hotel is extremely dated

Fantastic setting overlooking Cardiff Bay with tastefully appointed rooms. The staff are all welcoming and very efficient at their jobs. There is an excellent spa and pool with wonderfully relaxing hydro therapy jets. Perfect hotel for a business trip where you can relax and unwind, or ideal location from which you can explore Cardiff.

Really enjoyed our stay. Accommodation excellent. Breakfast excellent. Staff really friendly and helpful. Didn’t get a chance to try the spa unfortunately.

A very enjoyable stay attending a friend's wedding in a great location. We were very lucky with the weather so the bay was lovely to sit and enjoy a few drinks in the sunshine

The woman on reception was nice and friendly. She upgraded our room, which was really apprecieated after a long drive. The suite was really impressive. The balcony was amazing - great views over the bay! The spa is really nice - definitely worth a dip, and helped us relax and unwind. Breakfast was really good too. Eggs benedict cooked perfectly. Any negatives? Parking was a bit of a pain. However, paying for 24hr parking seems to be the norm now at hotels.

Amazing hotel and close to soo many bars and restaurants - only downside was the parking £25 for 24 hours!!

Bathroom needs attention, mould around bath. All staff we encountered were extremely kind and polite. Breakfast was terrific, thank you so much.

Lovely design but had to go outside to function room entry and then there were no convenient loos inside function suite. Nowhere really pictuesque to take photos at function. I suppose it’s because it is built on old site of Cardiff docks

It was a very good experience and the staff were nice. Room 601 was a corner room with a balcony and a terrace. The hotel itself is very luxurious and the spa was amazing! Deffo will come back

Great hotel in brilliant situation with wonderful views across Cardiff Bay

Nice hotel in Cardiff Bay. All good at the hotel but at a premium plus, plus price. But parking from 16.30 to 8.30 am two days later was £48 so definitely won't be staying there ever again. Can’t see any point in staying in Cardiff Bay unless attending an event in their conference centre.

Gorgeous views, couldn’t fault it at all.

Nice big room, comfy bed, great view, but one major issue. I booked a suite with its own lounge, had floor to ceiling windows on two sides. Unfortunately, on arrival the room was like an oven, the aircon in the bedroom worked well, but in lounge did nothing. Phone reception and was told that the lounge aircon only heats and doesn’t chill. I queried this twice and the heat made the lounge almost unusable. After writing same on Hotels.com website, a day later a maintenance arrived and fixed the aircon in the lounge. Then all was fine, so it’s strange the hotel’s receptionists when asked twice claimed the air con in lounge didn’t aircon. Once fixed the room was great, but disappointing this took two days instead of hours, particularly when paying a big premium for suite.
