Reasonable, clean place to stay with our 65 pound lab. Park outside your door. Best alternative in Portsmouth.

On a recent stay, we booked a standard king room. The room itself was of decent size and reasonably well appointed. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were excellent. The shower, while a bit on the small side, had very comfortable water pressure.
The downsides: For whatever reason, we were booked into a room that can best be described as staying in your parents' finished basement. The ceiling was LOW. The television, while nominally connected to cable/satellite, got only one channel. In addition, several of the power outlets in the room didn't work.
I forgot to mention the true high-point of the stay: The staff. Our experience with each and every staff member we met was excellent. Would I stay here again? Yes. But I would make SURE to get a room in a different part of the property.

Not sure how this place had 8 stars! Our room smelt like a moldy basement. There was mold and mildew all over the ceiling. We found what we think was dog food that was covered in mold. When I wanted to check out early the front desk didn’t apologize or offer another room. I wasn’t even go to say anything because I hate being THAT person but this was just gross! Ended up staying at another hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay.. it’s outdated a bit and really should consider removing carpets. Water pressure was weak but stayed hot. Liked having laundry on property. As far as the staff, you couldn’t find any better ☺️

3rd year going to the area and staying at Ports Inn. Wonderful staff, room and breakfast. Conveniently located. We traveled to York, Old orchard and Hampton Beaches. Minutes from Kittery.

Staff was great, very friendly and helpful. I was able to park car right outside our room which was nice. it's a good central location but lacks dining choices in the immediate area. Room was clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed my stay

Room was pretty clean and great for our two night stay. I liked that you could park right in front of the room which was convenient for us with little kids. Breakfast was okay, the dining area is quite small so getting a place to sit can be tricky. The most disappointing part was the pool. It looked green and unkept. We ended up not using it because of that.

This is a beautiful older motel that is well-maintained. Our room had a kitchenette with basic kitchenware. Would recommend they replace the old nonstick pots (PFAS). Breakfast is generous and the breakfast room is sparkling clean. Didn't try the tiny outdoor pool but it looked good. Wifi, laundry, vending onsite.

Very noisy (was on the first floor) between chairs being moved around me and hearing the maintenance carts. The weather wasn't very cooperative and so I spent more times indoors than I would liked to have spent. On the last day of my stay, I was disturbed by the front desk person saying somebody smelled smoke and everyone needed to vacate their rooms, that he called the fire department. It turned out that it was an electrical issue and we had to wait for an electrician with no power and extreme heat. I understands these things happen, but was really expecting at least an apology, maybe a free soda, some sort of recognition that we were put out of our way due to no fault of our own.

I liked the location and breakfast was pretty good most days. I didn't like the fact that when I asked to have the room serviced the night before they didn't touch it the next day. When I asked why it wasn't serviced they said it was due to lack of personnel and then sent someone to grab the trash and change towels.

This motel was super clean with staff being very nice. Parked right outside room. Room was on the small side, but served its purpose. Breakfast was good. The only complaint we had was that the bugs (tiny, flying gnats) were terrible at nighttime. We got around dusk and was excited to go swimming, but bugs made it nearly impossible. One guest got in pool and almost immediately left due to bugs. I draped a towel over my head and stayed low to water to endure onslaught of bugs. I wonder if some type of bug repellent around property would help.

We had a terrible experience here. This is NOT an inn or a hotel but a poorly run and incredibly filthy motel. Pictures are deceiving. Our family of 4 on our way back from Acadia wanted to stop for a couple of nights and unfortunately picked this place. The rooms weren't ready even though the check in time was 3:00 pm, thats when we reached. 90 mins later we were given the keys to our room which turned out to be an absolutely filthy and smelly. Front desk did not cooperate in giving us a different room as supposedly the motel was was all booked (not true!). The pool was dirty and you could not see the bottom of the pool. Saw some mice running around the pool. The stench from the room's old carpet and how much dirt and filth it had in it will stay in our minds for a long time. Anyone reading this review, stay away from this horrible dumpster of a place.

The location was quieter than expected (we were facing the road) and the staff was helpful. Good choices for breakfast but limited seating. Overall, it was a good experience but there were a couple of things we wished we had known:
(1) Housekeeping only comes if you specifically request them. However, the front desk was happy to give me clean towels and extra toilet paper on request.
(2) The TV in our room was messed up but we were able to fix it.
(3) For some reason the cold water runs as hot in the middle of the night.

We have two young children (3 and 7). We got a two bedroom suite which was great but the layout was funky; the two full beds were close to the door and the queen was on its own bedroom. Not a huge deal but I would rather us (the adults) but the exit/door versus kiddos. The place was clean, a little outdated, but the property was quiet for the most part (it is right off the highway so the noise is going to be there). Nice pool, too. Overall, a decent stay and might stay there again.
