Friendly service. The receptionist / bar keeper was welcoming and went out of his way to show us our room and the breakfast room. He also recommended local restuarants to try. We wanted to try Grappa when we returned after our meal and he explained the different types and recommended one based on taste in wine. On departure, the owner was on reception and explained the Ferrari theme in the bar and breakfast room. I would definitely use this hotel again. Location is ideal - about 10 minutes from the railway station and a quiet location about 3 minutes from the ferry terminal and harbour.

The location was perfect and within walking distance of the center. The breakfast buffet was very filling with many options. The only thing is the air conditioning wasn’t cold and therefore had to sleep with no blankets, also the beds are very very firm.

My friends & I loved this hotel! It was clean & comfortable & in a great location; & the staff was excellent. Max & his colleagues were very helpful, & Max was kind, helpful, & patient & went above & beyond the call of duty in helping us.

Its a nice hotel for reasonable price. I stayed here only for 1 night because of late check-in possibility. The hotel is easy to find, has free parking and I liked our room. However the toilet needs to be fixed - I had issues to stop the water from running, the sink drain was clogged and the shower is smaller then average. But the bed was comfortable - rather hard, and one big mattrass instead of two beds just pushed together, which I found good. Breakfast was terrible. I don't expect much from italian breakfast anyway - big choice of sweets as usual, but small choise of "normal" food. But please buy a new coffee machine - the sewage you serve is impossible to drink. I wanted to switch to tea, but hot water came with mixture of old coffee and dry milk... Very friendly co-workers at reception. Conclusion: for 100 euro in high season - ok, if more expencive I wouldn't recommend it.

I returned to Hotel City after over 2 0years. Still wonderful with the same family running it. Its a lovely hotel in a beautiful place, I would recommend it to anyone

Very good standard budget hotel made an even better choice by excellent staff and central location close to all amenities.

The hotel is in a great location for Desenzano with a 1 minute walk to the waterfront. It has free parking and a good breakfast including hot food. The hotel staff are all very helpful although some of the rooms need a little modernisation but all clean and very quite.

Part of the hotel has been recently renovated and the pictures reflect these rooms. The rest of the rooms are quite dated. Breakfast is good and front desk staff are very helpful. Great location!

Hotel is in a brilliant location , less than 5 minute walk to the lake front and all cafes, bars and shops. Good parking for car too. Rooms have everything you need including kettle for tea and coffee, fridge, free wifi, full size bath. All staff helpful and pleasant and breakfast good too. We would definitely stay here again.

A few more coat hangers and a couple of teaspoons would have improved things but overall we had a comfortable stay. Staff were happy to provide extra milk for coffee in our room too.Continental breakfast was good with ample range of tasty treats and there were plenty of places to find dinner a short walk away.Great value for the price we paid.

Good facilities for the price, nice & close to the centre of town - about a 5 minutes walk. Friendly & helpful reception staff - but watch out for the lady who does the breakfast shift, she was rude & short with us on a couple occasions & didn't seem to like the guests generally. Overall though a nice hotel & a lovely stay for 10 days.

Hotel is realy nice.Good location - 10 min from railway station by foot, 3 min by car, 2 min by foot from harbour. Rooms are cosy, clean, with new furniture. Breakfast is good as well - you can choose your meal (milk with flakes, yogurt with fruits, eggs with ham, cakes and so on). Regular everyday cleaning

Great position & car parking.

Hotel is nice, exactly what youd expect for 3 stars. Location is really good, 2 minute walk to town centre. Breakfast was great with a nice variety of food.

Very modern and clean and quiet located close to the shopping and nightlife area and not far from the train station. The only negative might be that there was not a table big enough to spread out all my computer stuff. But, not everyone does computer stuff. They have an excellent morning buffet spread.

A lovely family run hotel. Great location, just a couple of minutes walk to the lake front, but far enough away for a quite stay. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, who speak good english. Free use of the Hotel computer. Breakfast includes, cereals, breads, cheese, meats, preserves, eggs, yogurts, fruit and cakes.

We were delighted and surprised by the level of service from the hotel staff. For example, one night it was pouring with rain, too heavy to even venture out. The manager on duty organized for a meal to be delivered to the hotel, opened the breakfast room and set up a table for us, so we wouldn't have to eat in our room. The staff also offered very helpful travel advice to us. The room was quite spacious and very comfortable but the wardrobe/hanging space was very limited. The breakfast selection was good and replenished regularly and the breakfast room was very interesting with a collection of Ferrari memorabilia in it.
