We loved this hotel and would’ve stayed longer if it had had availability. Room was perfect for a small family with clean bathroom, fridge and comfy beds but the highlight was our own balcony with a view of the Eiger. We spent hours there in the late afternoon just staring at the mountain. The hotel is up the hill a bit from the main action in Grindelwald but it’s completely walkable (even with a 7 year old). And very very quiet. Parking on site.

Staff were very nice. Bed was very comfortable. You can do laundry for a reasonable fee.

It was our best experience. It’s very close to train station and Main Street. Though the hotel is on a hill and if you have luggage or elderly with walking issues then not a good idea ,for us that was not an issue. They do send car for pickup. But other than that everything else was awesome, beautiful room, great view from our balcony, kind helpful staff, decent breakfast. We would surely come again

Short walk to the ski lift, train station and village center. The breakfast was excellent with a variety of options to fill up on before a day on the slopes. The staff were friendly and helpful. The patio was nice and filled with sunlight when I ended one of my ski days a bit early to relax and sip the wine which I received as an Expedia VIP. As a solo traveler, I like the option of booking a smaller room with a smaller bed at a good price point.

This property was quintessential Swiss; homey, clean, warm & helpful family owned staff! We are going to recommend this hotel to our friends and family and would not consider anywhere else if we come back!

Hotel is near at the train station but the hotel is by the hill. Van service is available for free from and to train station to and from hotel. Call receptionist to inform ahead of time. Staffs are friendly, room is clean, and breakfast is good. The bathroom is clean but smells like urine. Maybe the mop’s head needs to be changed.

This is by far the best place we stayed our entire trip. Our room was awesome!

Margaret and her staff are very accommodating. Excellent service. Beautiful views of the mountains . Only thing is when you leave be ready for slightly steep walk one way to the town. Only 8 minutes.

Just amazing. I was blown away by the great hospitality at this hotel. Also in awe of the view of the Eiger! First thing you see waking up and last thing before going to sleep. The connected restaurant is also really good. Ate there both nights of my stay. My only regret is that I didnt book this place for more days, but I guess that is just an excuse to returrn. Thanks!

Excellent all around hotel with super helpful staff, good breakfast and good dinner restaurant. Our room with a balcony and view of the Mount Eiger peak was breathtaking. Super close to downtown Grindelwald. Highly recommended.

Excellent chalet experience a very short walk to the Grindelwald train station (and onward to the Jungfraujoch from there). Nice rooms with pleasant views, decent breakfast. Small bathrooms and showers though.

Near train station, fantastic view facing mountain. Spacious room size. Forgot to arrange free hotel transfer, had to push luggage up slope.

Beautiful hotel with great views of the mountains! The hotel was so cozy and clean. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. It was very rainy during our stay so we ate dinner at the hotel restaurant twice to avoid the bad weather. On one of those nights we lost track of time and went into the restaurant after they had closed. Instead of turning us away, the staff was nice enough to offer us pizzas and even brought them to our room for us. Highly recommend this hotel for your visit to Grindelwald!

Wonderful family run hotel with friendly helpful staff I was travelling on my own to ski. My skis were taken from the storeroom presumably by mistake. The staff were extremely helpful in trying to relocate them for me. Food was excellent.

The view was amazing. It snowed nonstop from the afternoons on the day we arrived. Just amazing experience and we had a balcony. They should have smokers on different levels as we couldn’t enjoy the balcony as much as the next door smoked non stop out there. They should have transportation from train stop to hotel. It cost $15 Franc for a 1 min taxi ride uphill to hotel. He called the hotel for a ride and they said no, however it snowed and we were given a ride when departing from them (snowing). The wait help for dinner was rude and not friendly. The breakfast was great and the wait help was awesome. I would definitely stay again. A few issues do not ruin a wonderful experience otherwise.

Great little hotel very close to central Grindelwald. Be prepared to climb the hill, though! Nice breakfast as well.

Such a cozy and warm place. The views are amazing. It was a little dusty when we got there, and the dinning options are good. I would recommend staying here! They have ski storage and transportation to the train station which is a plus. The staff are very nice and friendly!! Very much enjoyed my stayed here.
