Staying in this historic gem is a wonderful experience! The grandeur of the building is an absolute delight. The location around the old town square with its wonderful restaurants and lots to see and do make this remarkable hotel a place I’ll keep coming back to! I can’t speak highly enough!

This place is a hidden gem. It's boutique hotel in an older building. The options for dining and walking the square were just tremendous. Park once and spent three nights. Will definitely return

We loved many things about the Grand Hotel, location, convenience and the history. The hotel was clean but also you can tell it needs a few upgrades or updates. Even with that it was clean and the staff is wonderful and kind!

Great staff remedied a question about noise with a beautiful upgrade. They were proactive and got a hold of us to discuss their proposed upgrade. The hotel is lovely; the staff were great and it’s a perfect location for us.

Really nice room. We took a room without a window since we didn't plan on being in the room except to sleep and it was great. Without the window, the room stayed really dark the next morning allowing us to sleep a bit later than we would have been able to. The bar in the hotel is excellent.

It was a comfortable boutique hotel. My main issue were the window covering—blinds that let in let—and a lack of mini-fridge. I knew they did not have one, but while staying there, I realized how crucial it is, especially if one is visiting area wineries.

The location of The Grand and the staff are the biggest selling points of this hotel. Downtown McKinney is vibrant with shops, restaurants, and art and The Grand is at its beating heart. The front desk clerks were extremely nice and had helpful suggestions for our day. That being said, I must comment on a couple of minor issues. The air conditioning had a mind of its own and wanted to keep our room very cold. It became an issue of turning it on for a while and then turning it off for a while no matter the setting on the thermostat. Also the phone had a red blinking light signifying that I had a message when in fact there was no message. Not a problem until you go to bed. A simple fix was to cover the phone. These two issues aside I would still highly recommend this site.

If you want to see McKinney/the square this is a great location to do it. Easy walking to food and shopping.

The room was a bit dated, and didn't have a desk to put a laptop or room service. The bathroom was also dated, with old toilet and shower. We also found a used toothpick and tissue on the floor of the bathroom that wasn't ours, which the maid staff missed two straight days, so attention to detail was lacking. Overall, the Grand Hotel was just okay. Not the best stay, but for the price and downtown location it was sufficient.

The room was exceptional as was the property. We enjoy staying here as it’s a low key boutique style hotel in a historical building. The facility is well kept and comfortable. We love the proximity to the shops and restaurants on the square. We raised a family in the area but moved away years ago and it’s so nice to just go over for a relaxing weekend and trip do our old area. Love it!

We had a great stay for our 30th anniversary over the July 4th holiday. We will be back again. This hotel is the perfect location for all the great shops and restaurants in downtown McKinney!!

Loved the style and ambiance of the hotel. Rooms were great every time we stayed. Room service was pretty middle of the road. We did Brunch at Rick’s and ordered room service for breakfast between the two stays and staff at Rick’s was unfriendly. Room service order was missing multiple items and overall was just ok. The front desk staff was amazing! So helpful, polite, and enjoyable to talk to. Overall we will definitely stay again but probably just walk to breakfast if we’re not doing Brunch at Rick’s.

Excellence began with the friendly greeting at the front desk for check-in. The 'lobby' is more like a comfortable living room.
Our room was cool and comfortable. The bathroom was clean with a nice hot shower.
We also had dinner in Rick's Chop House.
Historic Downtown McKinney has numerous good restaurants within 1 or 2 blocks.

No valet on Thursday and when I was trying to get in the door with my suitcase was difficult. 4 staff at the desk and watched me struggle to get in the door with bags and suitcase. No one offered to help hold open the door
