Our room was lovely but the staff made our stay exceptional. Excellent service. We were there on Valentines Day and they made every effort to make our stay delightful.

Only stayed one night, must check in before 8 pm or else incur extra charge for after hours. The house is very comfortable, white and gray design with cute giraffes, breakfast is good, staff very friendly.

We had a fabulous time at Summerwood as part of our honeymoon trip to South Africa. The inn was lovely with a wonderful manager and was such a great value. We arrived a bit tipsy after spending the day on the Wine Tram in Franschhoek, but immediately we could tell this hotel was special. The room was very nice and modern and that night we enjoyed the honest bar and cookies! The next morning after a great continental breakfast we borrowed bikes from the inn and rode into town for coffee. All in all a great experience, we just wish we could have stayed longer!

A great guesthouse - the distance out of town didn't matter as they lend you bicycles for you to use for free. We used the bikes to get around on our own vinyard tour too. The rooms wrre large and the breakfast was lovely. We weren't brave enough to take a dip but we enjoyed laying out in the gardens.

This property oozes charm and is beautifully decorated with a lovely garden and swimming pool. We wished we had booked an extra day.It is well situated for the town centre. The bed was very comfy and room facilities were great. Rodney who took care of us made our stay very special with his charm and hospitality. ..the breakfast and cappuchino were outstanding. All in all a 5 star place and one we will definitely return to again.

Not located in town, but very close which was perfect for me. Staff great, room great, clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and even had extra electrical power adapters! Parking secure and convenient. Nice breakfast. Great value too!! On,y thing, which is common foe this type of accommodation, no lift---so travel light or request lower level room. Did not use honesty bar but nice amenity to provide. Will return 100%

The breakfast was varied with hot and cold food available and a very reasonably priced honesty bar. A nice touch is the free bottles of water in the room and dotted about the house. The gardens were lovely too and we spent many hours lazing by the pool. The guest house is about 15min walk to town but its a safe walk, there are also bikes available for free to make the journey quicker. Simply the most wonderful stay.

Lovely hotel with excellent breakfast. Located a little outside town center. All amenities you could want. I highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Summerwood, just too short! If we make it back to this area, I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Summerwood again!

This was a beautifully appointed and comfortable guesthouse with spacious rooms. The breakfast was exceptional. Would definitely book again.

The only con I have about our stay is that we asked to check in 30-60 minutes before the actual check in time as we had a wedding to go to but was told no which I felt was a let down. The rest of the stay however was good experience, nice quiet area to relax, close to some wine farms, great breakfast, rooms and décor.

This guesthouse is absolutely gorgeous! Unfortunately, we were unable to experience what they had to offer because they never received our reservations from Expedia. They did their best to find somewhere for us to stay and they did; however, we were on our honeymoon and it was quite disappointing as we were really looking forward to our stay here.

I'm enjoyed about my experience in Summerwood. I recommend this guest house and it would be better in summer.

The staff at Summerwood was amazing. We had the best experience. The room was beautiful and clean. The garden and courtyard were so relaxing, quiet and beautiful. The guest house is in walking distance to all restaurants and shops in Stellenbosch. GREAT STAY!

Booked with Summerwood last minute (6pm on check-in day) on Expedia and got a great deal. Everything was great - grounds, safety, staff, other guests. The guesthouse has an honor code for snacks/wine/beer/etc, in which you pay at the end of your stay that was very reasonably priced compared to places we've stayed at in the past. We had a car rental, so we drove for a late dinner/drinks (9pm) into town, which was very close. Could not have asked for a better stay in Stellenbosch or a better experience here.
