It was absolutely perfect and exceeded our expectations. We had our wedding on-site and could not have asked for a more perfect, worry free day. The food was absolutely amazing and plentiful and the rooms used for the ceremony and dinner were beautiful.

staff, very unwelcoming. No hospitality from the reception, breakfast staff, especially the only guy in a suit in the restaurant is extremely unpleasant. Rooms, breakfast, pool need an update. AC did not work during our stay and only received a 10% discount. Pool is not heated so extremely cold in June, as per the information the pool should have been heated.

The hotel is perfectly situated by the sea. We had a tremendous view from our balcony, which by itself made it a fantastic hotel. Add to that the friendly staff and excellent food and you have to be impressed.

The staff said the hotel was owned by a Russian, which in todays climate concerns me. Given a choice between two exact hotels I would always choose the non-russian owned.

I liked everything. The location right on the water is second to none. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The staff was friendly, efficient, and helpful . The food was outstanding. I enjoyed the pool and fitness room. I hope to return for a longer stay in the future. I highly recommend.

Amazing boutique hotel, with the best location and views. The pictures don't do it justice. Steps from the beach and pedestrian walkway filled with shops and restaurants. Beds comfy, very clean beautiful facilities.

The location is excellent right on the beach while also in the centre of the town - the location is excellent. The staff was very helpful and courteous, with a nice pool and sunbathing area, and the breakfast is excellent. However, what lets the hotel down is the ensuite bathroom is tired and appears dirty. The bathroom needs refurbishment which is disappointing as this is not a cheap hotel. They provide a complimentary drink on arrival and a turn down service.

Absolutely wonderful hotel, in a beautiful location. breakfast was lovely. Staff friendly. I had my birthday there, and they brought a beautiful cake up to the room.

The location was perfect by the sea. The interior is nice and charming. Overall, it was a good and comfortable stay.

The staff at the front were very basic in how they treated us. They never greeted us whenever we walked into the hotel. There's no warmth in how they deal with their clients at the front desk (i.e., I would expect a more welcoming attitude). That said, the staff at the restaurant and during breakfast time were nice and professional. The hotel is old. It's well maintained, but expect to go in a really old elevator and not have a ventilator in your toilet. Very small windows in the bedrooms. If you like the old feel, then this is the right hotel. I would expect way more from a breakfast in a five-star hotel! It was basic! That said, the service is good.

The breakfast was fantastic. Great variety and the pasteries were so fresh. We had a sea view room and the view was wonderful.

The staff--amazingly kind and helpful. The location--excellent! Close to the sea, shops and train station if you want to go to Lisbon. The decor is beautiful, the bed was comfortable.

Fantastic view from the breakfast room, and the breakfast itself was simply superb ! Especially the perfectly sliced mango and papaya deserves full points! Mr Monteneiro at the reception and his colleagues were super helpful and spot on with their recommendations! This is precisely what makes the soul of a five star hotel! He deserves full praise.

The hotel was recently renovated and it showed - everything was spotless and very beautiful and stylish. But what really made it stand out was the exceptional service. From valet parking to surprise champagne in the room, every single staff member was very attentive. Very good breakfast too.

Everything was 5-star worthy. Would definitely stay at Albatroz again, especially off-season when the surrounding beach is not crowded as it probably is in the summer.

Love this hotel, it is beautiful and elegant yet has the cosy feel of home. It is perfectly situated on a stunning bay overlooking the sea and within moments walk of all the town's attractions, bars, restaurants and the train station. The staff are wonderful and the food is delicious.

Great location, good restaurant with beautiful sea view, helpful staff. The room was big. Interior of the hotel is tastefully designed.

The room smelled a bit of tobacco. TV was at a weird spot in the room, its mount was damaged and the TV was dangling in a crooked position. Tap in the bathroom was too low relative to the sink making it pretty uncomfortable to just wash your hands. The handle of the terrace door was broken and wouldn’t lock. For the price this was too much.
