Regularly do business near Kilworth & this hotel was recommended to us. We have eaten on previous visits but this was first time staying overnight. Excellent hotel, friendly staff, huge comfortable room, dined in restaurant & super breakfast. This is obviously a very busy & well used hotel as there were signs of wear & tear, but it is spotlessly clean & so cosy. We just wish we had had more time to make use of the leisure & spa facilities, & room to eat the fabulous looking in-house bakery goods - next time!!!
It is rare to find such a homely hotel of this size, & atmosphere which is severely lacking in most hotels nowadays! Would thoroughly recommend & will definitely stay on our next trip. Keep doing what you’re doing 👌

Loved the hotel and staff! We were supposed to stay for 2 nights but plans with others changed. We were so disappointed we could not stay the 2nd night.😔 Of the 9 hotels we stayed at during our 3 weeks in Ireland/Northern Ireland the Horse & Jockey Hotel was our favorite!

Nice countryside. Beautiful rooms great breakfast lovely swimming pool and gymn, convenient for motorway. Friendly helpful staff. Restaurant for evening meal.

We have stay here a number of times and always enjoy our stay. The only issue we had was with the bathroom, so when you had a shower the water was not draining freely so it meant that the water went to above your ankles and the shower gel pump was not working so we could not use itr and ended up using the soap that was located in the sink which meant you had to get out of the shower to get to it and then jump back in, you may think just go and buy some but we were attending a family funeral and had no time to do this if you know what Irish funerals are about

Nice hotel, arrived early but in the end was after 2pm once got given a room which was actually a I gather for disabled but ok.
What I was surprised by was the rudeness of the night porter whose role is to let you in after midnight, the comment ‘what’s wrong with the door over there’ silly me I thought the buzzer at the main entrance was how you entered a hotel!!
So apart from get rid of night porters with unnecessary attitude it would have been a nice stay.

We booked room 319, superior, and their was a constant loud humming noise. We were relocated to room 304, which was not as roomy at a superior room should be as it was a triple room. Hindsight, we should have insisted on a similar room to 319, but rather than be difficult we accepted the room.

Would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in the tipperary area .we checked in late in evening but still managed to get excellent food. Atmosphere with the locals around the bar was like having a pint in your own local

Mine was a one night stay which was very pleasant. The room was comfortable, spacious and clean. The breakfast was good with multiple choices. I didn't have an evening meal. The location is excellent for those travelling on the N8 motorway with ample parking. Highly recommended

From check in to check our we had a lovely stay. The food in the bar at lunch, Silks Restaurant for dinner and breakfast was delicious. We were very well looked after in the Spa and felt very relaxed afterwards. We are already planning our trip for next year.

Would appear to be out in the middle of nowhere but it’s handy to the motorway and tourist sites.
Even if u don’t get chance to stay overnight just call for a meal or snack. Food is excellent staff very attentive,
