Nice place to stay

Pretty much every room has a small balcony. We were on the ground floor and so had a larger terrace which was perfect for sitting outside. The hotel has a machine at the front door so that one can access the key for a stay remotely which is helpful due to Corona. Room interior was pretty standard and needs a bit of updating. There were burn stains on the counter where a previous visitor had left a hot pot. Also there were no neck pillows which made reading in bed a bit uncomfortable. A buffet breakfast is now available (€8). Most items are pre-wrapped in plastic-wrap and the coffee carafe is handed out by the staff to minimize infection risk. Also the doors were left wide open, even in cool weather, in order to improve air flow. Staff is friendly and helpful. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel which makes it easy to get to downtown in 10 minutes.

Room smelled a bit of cigarettes and it had numerous signs of ware and tare. Other than that the hotel building it self looked bit run down. On the flip side everything was clean and very comfortable beds made up for couple bad points. Very nice breakfast bar also did make up for bit of smells 😁

My stay was vert pleasant. The hotel was quiet and clean. The few staff I encountered were polite and non-intrusive.

Far from station but nice room for price

This was a lovely hotel for our family vacation. There is no air conditioning so keep that in mind when booking. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was more than enough to get you started for the day.

Had trouble with our late check in .had to get in contact with the US after we traveled for over 24 hrs and then they had to get ahold of someone and then we had to do it again .

I stayed with a colleague for a congress in Giessen, the room was smaller than expected, it should have been 40 m2, however this must have included the balcony. Furniture pretty old. Bathroom extremely small. The double bed upstairs to be reached over very steep and small steps. Overall ok, but I wouldn t turn back.

The hotel was very clean and centrally located. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Value for price was very good. We had a triple room with a loft and very nice balcony - a very nice treat to sit outside in the cool September weather. The hotle is close to the bus route (just across the street). They allowed us a rather late check-out the day we left. I will certainly stay there again on my next trip.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed and it is a lovely and reasonably priced little hotel.. Clean comfortable and friendly helpful staff. Great location easy walk to old town and grocery store right in neighborhood and near a great walking trail and park

Location is good as you can walk to the city center (healthy but not impossible distance) as well as very close to a grocery store. Underground parking is tight (literally). So, if you haven't practiced your backing in/out from very, very tight places, this may turn out to be a challenge for you. I happened to stay during somewhat of a heatwave, and not having an air conditioner or even a fan in my room was torturous. Shower stall, while clean, has a design flaw. The control for hot/cold water flow sticks out for you to constantly bump into (within the very tight space of the stall), and you are either immediately scolded or iced unexpectedly. Even if you expect it, the experience is jarring. A simple switch to a different faucet type would solve this problem. So, hotel management, please take note.

Beds could use some better mattresses, otherwise good hotel.
