Absolutely loved the room, spacious and clean. The meals were so flavorful and delicious, wide variety to choose from. We spent 5 days at another hotel before heading to Hideaway Royalton, Negril and such a difference with the presentation and taste of the food. Great entertainment at nights with staff encouraging the guests to participate!! My only regret was the beach not much area to have a good swim. Sightings of stingrays put some fear in us, so stayed out the water for long periods of time.
Please stock up on condensed milk, some guest rather this than the creamer!!!LOL.

The staff is very welcoming and genuine. The property could use a few upgrades. The food was amazing. The pools were always warm. Very relaxing environment & extremely accommodating to all types of guest.

The room started leaking water and the staff placed a bucket in the room and did not notify anyone that same night water started pouring from the roof we spent the night mopping water and the room had a foul odor after. We notify the hotel and they offered to change our room. The buffet area and the hallways was also leaking water when it rained. There is always a shortage of towels when we called for towels it took 6-8 hours at times. Housekeeping left cleaning towels in the room on the sink area and the shower were not cleaned properly soap scum was still seen after “cleaning" of the room.

Snorkeling all around the resort was fantastic! Taking a walk down the beach in bloody bay was a nice bonus. All the restaurants were centrally located and the coffee and gelato shop was open 24 hours. I would’ve have given this place a 5/5, but had some hit or miss experiences with staff courtesy and politeness. Our butlers “Romaine and Susan were amazing!” Also, our driver “Greg” was awesome! Also, special mention to “Keith” who was our host one night at the buffet.

I woke up in the middle of the night with roaches in my room. There was another day that I walked into my room and there was a Crab running around in my room. This is my second time going to this resort the first time was it so bad this time was horrendous

My husband and I are frequent visitors at the Royalton chain. We always book swim-out rooms. This vacation we stayed in room 8031. I wish this review was as good as my previous visits. We came to Jamaica to celebrate my birthday and we weren't able to do much celebrating bc my husband got food poisoning. He was violently sick. He was not able to leave the room. The last meal he ate was at an out door celebration for Bob Marley on the resort where they served food outside. The was the last meal he was able to consume. The next day he could not leave the room. He was weak and lethargic. He vomited and had diarrhea so much that he could barely stand up. He stood in bed and the room the entire day. My apologies for being so graphic but it ruined the entire trip. The following day he was the same way! I was extremely worried bc I knew that traveling home was going to be extremely difficult. Upon checking out I was asked about my experience, I expressed to Brandon/Jessica at the front desk what happened . Jessica then introduced me to Brandon who took my information and told me I should've said something sooner so that my husband's stool could be tested. When you have A loved one that's extremely sick on vacation you first concern is to make sure they are okay and make them as comfortable as possible. Brandon was not empathetic, it seemed as if he was trying to rule out blame on the resort which is odd bc we never left the resort. So disappointed

Our room had a BIG roach in it and we left it there to see if the cleaners would clean it up it stayed there for 2 days. We finally got it up ourselves. The glasses that we had in our room smelled mildew after the maids came in to clean, so they actually probably just wiped the glasses out with a dirty rag. Overall the trip was okay the staff was wonderful the maid that we had was okay. But I will not be revisiting this Resort. The ocean view that I paid for was not Ocean View it had a wall there that will block you from the portion of the ocean if you sat down in the chairs, you will have to stand up the whole time on the balcony. It was not a great ocean view at all. So we end up getting the swim up which cost us another $400. Another thing that I did not like is that we had to walk to the other resort to go on to the beach.

We were assigned a concierge and that service was definitely over rated. Most of the staff were very nice and helpful, but some of the bartenders looked like they did not want to be there. Also, while there are quite a few restaurants, the food was not very tasty.

The good....our butlers Melisa & kemar checked on us, answered questions, reserved us dinner. I liked I could text them throughout the day with questions. They were nice and helpful. Five stars for them. Quite a few dinner options. We liked zen, hunter, ocean point bistro. Gift shop had anything you needed. Shows were fun if not quite original. Swim up bars are always fun to have. There was plenty of beach space and chairs, we never had a problem finding a good spot. Check in and out was easy. Loved to make my own cocktail in the hideaway lounge on the way to dinner. It was the only place with decent liquor (think bulleit vs Jim beam). Room was clean, room service quick, bed was comfy. Grounds are immaculate. View amazing. Games poolside could be entertaining. Public bathrooms always very clean and functional. Plenty of bars. l recommend this place, except......
The bad....we lost air conditioning in the entire building for about 2.5 days. Since it doesn't cool off at night, that's rough. All we were told was, they are working on it. The place is very expensive for that. we paid about 5000$ for 5 nights for diamond club, that makes this place expensive enough to expect air conditioning every day. We travel every year 2 times to tropical destinations, mainly Mexico and have never had the air not work, and this was the nicest and priciest we have stayed in. So not good. Also many employees dismissive. No response, no thank yous, just indifferent. Didn't love the attitude.

We stayed at the Hideaway section at Royalton Negril. Upon arrival, check in was fast and easy. We did pre-check in which I believed saved time. This was my third time to Jamaica at an all inclusive resort, but my first time here. Overall our experience was pleasant but there is room for improvement. Food Was decent minus the buffet. Service was good minus in the sports bar.
Recommended Improvements- The bars never had mint, lemons, limes etc. They really should work on making sure they are stocked with these daily. They also would run out of certain liquors at times, so drinks were not consistent. Food in the buffet should be kept under heat lamps so that it’s not always cold and it would be nice if they switched some of the options daily. Also, I found that all the different levels offered at the hotel are very confusing and almost offensive. There is Hideaway, Hideaway Diamond Club, Regular Diamond Club, Regular Royalton, Gran Lido, etc. You all wear different color bracelets. It gets confusing to people on where you can go and where you cannot. I had several conversations with guests where we would share a recommendation with them on a bar or restaurant and they would say they aren’t allowed to go there or vice versa. We had a bad experience at one of the bars when ordering a drink. We were denied service since we didn’t have a “black bracelet” after being told by another hotel employee we were allowed anywhere since we are Hideaway guests.

OKeen & Dwight were the best Butlers and made the experience terrific! Definitely recommend the Diamond club experience & if they are your butlers you will not be disappointed! We will definitely be back!!

Very nice resort, luxurious. I’ve assumed occupancy of resort depends on time of the year. We are couple in our mid 20s/early 30s. Didn’t see a lot of younger people there. Swim up bar closes entirely to early (5pm) glad we didn’t get swim up room because swim ups looked smaller compared to other resorts we’ve stayed at. No reservations needed for dinner, although we’ve barely ate on resort. Room was very nice, need to upgrade the room service menu. Love that they have hookah and we were able to take it to the room. I’ve noticed if you want turn up and relax vibes stay at a more affordable resort, if you want relax vibes in September this is the resort for you. Esthetics and ambiance was very nice!

A little disappointed as I was expecting so much more from a 5* hotel considering my experiences at other 5* hotels. Rooms and hallways are a little run down and could do with some TLC. The drinks were average to say the least. Customer service was so inconsistent, some days/places you get good service then the next you’re practically invisible in comparison to the white guests that they bend over backwards to serve. My third visit to Jamaica in the past year and this was by far the worst food I’ve had. I never have high expectations of resort food but usually I can count on breakfast to be decent but again, did not quite hit the mark for me.
Pointless booking the Hideaway adults only section because most of the restaurants, amenities and all the fun happens over on the Royalton side (with the exception of a beach party on the Hideaway side). The Hideaway pool is small in comparison and the British and Americans are out there reserving the sun beds from the crack of dawn. If you’re not by the pool by 6/7am it’s unlikely you are getting a sun bed for the day. They also play a lot of pop music (for most of the day) and quizzes on the Hideaway side.
The Vibes Team really made the difference to my stay and made it enjoyable. If not for them I probably would’ve rated it a 1. They were fun and brought the energy.
Overall, just an average ‘luxury’ experience.

Our butler Tiana was great but other than that we will not be returning to Negril or a Royalton! The extra cost to stay in the diamond club was not worth it at all!!! There was on AC in our room so we were taking about 3 to 4 showers daily because we were sweating so much and it left you sticky. A lot of the staff was not friendly and many expected tips after every service and if you only gave $3 they would frown up their face. The location is in dire need of a renovation much of the place is falling apart there are visible large cracks and holes in the concrete outside and in the facility. The rooms aren’t cleaned that well upon arrival I cleaned the room with my products brought from home and my clorox wipes were black from the toilet. The food is subpar the only great food is from Jerk Hut. There were roaches in the room. Food service takes about two hours to come to the room. The hotel really needs to pay their staff more money so that they enjoy coming to work and actually upkeep the property. With better pay the workers would really go above and beyond and wouldn’t be mad when you don’t tip big.

The room was not cleaned. The housekeeper insisted she cleaned it however stains were all over the beds. It was nasty!! The mirror had what appeared to be blood. After 4 days we still found no resolution. I will not be back.

Went for our honeymoon and it did not disappoint! Everything was beautiful, and the staff made the stay so pleasant by tending to our every need. We are already planning a trip back.
