This was a quiet weekend and relaxed gittaway very quiet community would recommend

We’ve rented beach properties for many years and this is one of the absolute best. Location is prime and absolutely everything you need is provided as well as labeled. There is plenty of storage for personal belongings and food. It was clean, ready early and an owner who is quick to respond to any question. We are a family of four adults, one teen and were very comfortable. Watching ships, boats and dolphins from the covered deck was a great way to spend hot, lazy days of summer. This house is how vacations are meant to be.....walk in, relax and walk back out at the end of the week. Everything is taken care of for you!

House was right on the beach! Need I say more?
Great deck where we spent most of the time. Saw dolphins almost every day. My son loved gathering shells. It was very well stocked and had what we needed for the full week.

My family had a wonderful time and appreciated the cleanliness of the house and having our own private beach. We enjoyed having the ice machine for cold drinks and cooking lunch on the gas grill while watching the boats, and even some dolphins, from the deck. The hot tub and ceiling fan on the deck were unfortunately not working when we arrived but John was quick to respond and had the fan replaced by mid-week. The hot tub repair was delayed due to waiting on replacement parts, but these things happen. We look forward to using it during a future stay and enjoyed a relaxing week away with all the comforts of home.

This property was perfect for exactly what I and a mom of 2 needed. The hot tub was amazing, we even saw dolphins from the hot tub. The sunrise and sunset were gorgeous, it was quiet and just what we needed. The kitchen had everything we needed.

Great communication started early, several days before we arrived. My wife wanted to be near the beach, but this put even that desire to shame. The water literally comes up under the house during high tide. The waves crashing at night is something that will put anyone to sleep. Every time we had a question or concern the host responded within several minutes.
The house was super clean and the hot tub was clear and very clean. The propane fire pit and grill were easy to use and we really enjoyed sitting by the fire pit (under the porch cover) even when it was raining. The hammocks and double swing were relaxing as the tide moved in or out.
We were able to observe dolphins swimming up the Chesapeake, only 70yds off the porch, while sitting in the hot tub.
This was an amazing vacation spot and one I would likely do again given the opportunity.

Wonderful cottage right on the Chesapeake Bay. Gorgeous waterfront view with large deck and open floor plan. Clean and comfortable property, would definitely stay again while in Hampton. Communication with owner was responsive, consistent, very friendly and helpful! Highly recommend.

We loved our stay away from the hustle! The deck was a truly an amazing experience. The kitchen and open living room also contributed to a super special view while inside. The neighborhood was super charming along with the neighbors. We found some great restaurants down in Phoebus. We’re already trying to plan our return trip. Thank you John for a wonderful multi generational family getaway with the grand pup.

Quiet neighborhood and a nice house. Neighbors are friendly. Grocery stores are near. It’s a nice spot for a quiet getaway a bit off the beaten path. House is exactly as advertised and the coffee options were especially nice!

The hosts do a great job in thinking about your needs. The place was clean and well appointed. It's relaxing to sit on the deck, read, have a drink, and listen to the waves. The neighborhood is quiet and you cant beat having great access to the water.
Only a few recommendations - the disposal didnt work and the left side of the stove wouldnt light. Lastly, the outdoor grill blew over during a wind storm. It was fastened to the railing at the bottom only, and should have been tied off at the top, too.

Our recent family beach vacation was absolutely perfect! The entire house was clean, and we loved the peaceful atmosphere of the quiet beach. The beach itself was stunning, with great shell hunting and pretty clear water. It was an ideal spot for our 5-year-old to enjoy. The amenities provided, such as beach chairs and beach toys, were excellent. We created beautiful memories and cherished the quality time spent together. The area is not touristy at all which is what we wanted. Overall, it was a fantastic 5-star experience, and we highly recommend this destination for a family beach getaway!

Well organized inside. Read the instructions especially for the most comfortable sofa bed you'll ever sleep on. More amenities than you'll ever use. It deserves 6 stars out of 5 just for the deck and view.

Perfect place, didn’t want to leave. From Booking to check out everything was easy and no fuss. House was absolutely beautiful, we stayed on the deck almost the entire visit. Stunning views and relaxing environment. Was just what we were looking for and we can’t wait to return! Thank you John!!!!

We had looked for a quick getaway that was near the ocean and within driving distance and Bay Bliss fit the bill on all accounts. You could not get any closer to the water (waves literally roll under the house at high tide) and the property itself offered so many different ways to relax. We found ourselves out on the deck most of all listening to the waves and feeling the breezes. Best sun rises!! The location was ideal for us to take day trips to VA Beach and Newport News. From the reservation process through checking out the property owner was there to help in any way we needed. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and look forward to going back again.

The overall experience was great! The only problem we had was with the HVAC. It warmed up a bit on our second day so we decided to run the AC. It never came on or it could've been operator error. It had a different thermostat installed and I was unfamiliar with how to set it.
