Excellent service level alltrough check in to the check out. High service level from experienced staff in the brasserie restuarant and exellent breakfast offer. One of the best high level hotel offers in Hamburg at the moment.

Stayed in the apartment and found it perfect with many good options and shopping nearby. Will definitely stay again when in Hamburg and highly recommend.

We liked the architecture of the building with a court space, the bronze turtle at the entrance and the shower space in the room. The brasserie where we dined overlooks the court and it was a good option during the summer. the breakfast area is also quite pleasant. The breakfast menu is a little heavy on the egg side and the cake choices in the vitrine were not promptly replenished when out of available slices.

Really enjoyed our stay at the time. However, upon check-in hotel took a deposit on my card which was due to be refunded at checkout. In spite of paying in full upon departure i am still waiting on a refund of this amount almost a month later. Hotel has assured me that it has been credited back but this hasnt happened and have had to contact my credit card company to resolve. Due to this fraudelnt activity I cannot recommend and would not return.

We really enjoyed our short stay at Tortue. Very impressed with location of hotel. The finish of the lobby, brasserie and room were outstanding. Nice touches like complimentary mini bar. The staff were always extremely pleasant and helpful. The on site Bar Noir had very nice cocktails and it was lovely to sit out on the terrace in the evening. Pricing was fine, much like any other hotel bar. The one anomaly was a surprise €12 bottle of water which I thought was excessive. Overall I’d highly recommend this hotel for a short break

Beautiful stay at the Tortue in Hamburg. The staff is amazing and the hotel is beautiful. Loved the fact that it is dog friendly and very clean. If you bring a pet make sure you call ahead of time to let them know so they can prepare a pet friendly room. I would definitely stay here again. Only downside is the parking offsite is $$$, as is the overnight fee for valet (both 37euro for 24 hours). If you go a little further out you can probably find more affordable parking but it was too convenient for us to do so. Would definitely recommend you stay here!

Awesome location, super central, easy to get around with train or by foot to the beautiful city center/ Alster. Great design, the vibes are right up my alley, modern, classy and cozy. Great bears and restaurants that are part of the hotel. Also dog friendly which is super important to us! What I disliked was that the Wifi was absolutely horrendous and barely working up in our room (4th floor)

They made us feel so welcome from our arrival. Really helpful and a great hotel. Room was beautifully appointed and comfortable.

Hotel is very stylish and modern. As a regular visitor to Hamburg I have stayed in many hotels around the city and this has been by far the most convenient location and a great base for a weekend. It is within walking distance to the Speicherstadt, Rathausmarkt for Christmas markets, Jungfernstieg, St Pauli etc. The location was the most attractive perk of this hotel. The room itself was sleek and spacious. We liked the attention to detail and tortoises. The bath tub was huge and underfloor heating in bathroom was great. Being in room 111, seemingly the smallest on the floor we could hear the loud music from the bar (?) on Saturday night but having done so much walking I was tired enough to sleep through it. It’s not the first time I have booked via hotels.com and seemingly got the smallest room on the floor. It was perfectly adequate but to be honest I was disappointed with the hotels.com booking experience - nothing to do with the hotel. It may well have been the only room at a certain price but I don’t remember having a choice using the app. Hotel staff were helpful when I left a pair of boots in the room and otherwise we were out much of the day so didn’t see lots of people within the hotel. Bed very comfy, road noise negligible which was good as it’s quite a big road we were overlooking. Toiletries smelled amazing in the bathroom. If I’m being really picky I could have used more tea bags and made use of fresh milk but that’s a tiny point that didn’t disrupt our stay!

The hotel gives a unique, warm feeling and is centrally located within the city. The room offered everyting I was looking for and was very calm.I cant say anything about the breakfast, as it was with 35 EUR far beyond our company set limit. But a bakery just on the other side of the street is a good alternative.

The hotel was beautiful, clean and staff friendly. The only thing I would recommend is a better air conditioning. Thankfully it was cool outside and left the Windows opened to cool the inside of the room. However, the noise from outside did not let us sleep especially when we tried taking a nap with the sounds of Mariachis playing outside. This was addressed at the front desk but nothing was done about it. Other than that, the hotel is great! Just better AC system.
