Lovely winter weekend. The B&B is perfectly central. The hosts were lovely and welcoming, rooms excellent and spacious for the Lakes and breakfast was excellent!! We would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay.

Wow. From the lovely welcome to the farewell, our host Lucy and Mike were a delight. The house was well appointed. The bedroom, we had a junior suite, was comfortable and suitable for our few nights away. Breakfast was superb with a great selection to suit even the fussy eaters. Hoping to return in the spring.

Wonderful and engaging hosts and great location within easy reach to the village centre. Slight efforts required if you have heavy luggage and are booked on the upper floors.

Nice friendly welcome. Large clean bedroom with very comfortable bed. Bathroom full of modern fittings, spotless and well equipped. Breakfast first class with wide choice of well cooked locally sourced food.

We had such a great stay at Elder Grove. Such friendly and helpful hosts. Our room was lovely and the bathroom was fab. And as for the breakfast-so good! I highly recommend Elder Grove.

Best b and b we have stayed in in Ambleside by a mile! Spotlessly clean, beautifully laid out and excellent attention to detail. Breakfast was superb and the added Jura coffee machine at breakfast to make coffees of your choice was an excellent idea. We will definitely be returning as we were made to feel very welcome and it was like home from home.

Lovely B and B . Lovely room , very clean and nice touches in the room to make you feel Matthew and lucy really care you have a good stay. Breakfast was first class, nice surroundings and quality produce. Service overall was great and we will definately be back in the spring .

A great place to stay in Ambleside. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, close to great pubs and restaurants. Very friendly and helpful hosts and a fabulous Cumbrian breakfast.

Had the most amazing stay at Elder Grove. The owners were super friendly and very service minded. The room was very tidy and clean and we enjoyed our breakfast every morning. Great location, calm and no traffic. Can't wait to visit again.

Eldar Grove was the nicest B and B we've been to for a long time. Matthew and Lucy were so lovely and really accommodating. Being vegan was no trouble as they kindly printed me a vegan menu on arrival and there was so much choice, more than most restaurants! Even though I'd forgotten to let them know beforehand they had everything I could ask for on the first morning at breakfast. Lovely fresh fruit salad and homemade muesli, soya milk and the cooked options were wonderful. Matthews sense of humour was fantastic and Lucy was so lovely. The room had everything you could need, comfy bed and linens, kettle and hot drinks. Lovely toiletries for you to use and a modern bathroom. We'd recommend this b and b over and over, such good proximity to all amenities in Ambleside, good free parking at the hotel and fantastic hosts. Thank you for making our stay such a wonderful one 😊 see you again

Our room was quite small but fine, had what we needed. The ed was fine and we had a good nights sleep. The view from the room was good The staff were very friendly and helpful Breakfast was good Overall a decent stay and nothing we could complain about or change

Matt and Lucy were the perfect hosts. Hotel is beautiful. We loved the dining room and breakfast was excellent. Our room (4) was spacious and had a 4 poster bed, table and 2 chairs at the bay window and a settee, plenty of hanging space and drawers. The bathroom had a bath with shower over, best of both worlds with lovely good quality toiletries. They dont tidy your room at the moment but we were ok with that as you only have to ask if you need anything. They have a guest lounge and honesty bar which we didn't use but looked very nice and comfortable. Free parking on site and a great position. Our room was immaculate and the bed was very comfortable. We cant wait to return.

Very good level of service. The bedroom and public rooms were all very clean and maintained to a good standard. Breakfast was varied and excellent and should suit all tastes

Great location, clean rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was also very nice. If I could change one thing, I’d add air conditioning as it was warm weather while we were there. No complaints though, I’d happily stay there again and recommend it to others.
