Very beautiful romantic room with sea view, view at the old venetian port. Large comfortable room, bathroom and bed. Owner (young Vasilis) present and involved in day to day run of this little hotel. Breakfast was simple, but very clean and pleasant. Our room was in a corner of the hotel so the wifi was so-so. A bit noisy some nights (it may be just this room, not all) due to its location right on the main alley of the port. But overall, an excellent impression. The staff was also excellent, nice and very responsive.

Incredible stay. Would recommend anyone stay here for a short or long stay. Hopefully can make a return at some point

Its a perfect hotel to experience the old town of Chania! Make sure you book a room with a view of the harbor its worth the extra money! A family owned hotel that takes care of their guests like everyone should be! Dreamy bed also! 🙌

This was the perfect spot in the whole harbour. It allowed us to experience the hustle and bustle of the city without it being noisy and disruptive to our stay. The bed was comfortable it had ample room compared to other European hotels we stayed in. The cleaning staff were super on it and reset the room daily. The morning breakfast was exceptional, I lived for the fresh yogurt, strawberries with homemade fig jam and fresh squeezed OJ to order. Vasilis was super helpful during our stay, easy to talk to, always available and gave us great recommendations. highly, highly recommend this hotel.

A last minute booking in the old town... made to feel very welcome. The views from our room were fabulous. Breakfast was wonderful and our host Vasilis extremely friendly and well informed. Nothing was too much trouble.

We had a nice size room with access to a shared patio with a view of the harbor, sea, and light house though a door onto the patio. The patio had chairs and small tables as well as lounge chairs - perfect for relaxation. a nice simple breakfast was included and the management was friendly and helpful.

Great hotel right in the heart of Old City. So kind and helpful. Beautiful breakfast and beautiful view from the rooftop terrace. Many restaurants, bars, and shops close by.

Owner very welcoming and the hotel very well situated, overlooking the Old Venetian Harbour. Rooms and bathrooms are very small with no balcony. The communal terrace, accessed via a spiral steel stair, extends outside the room windows which was no problem for us but could be a nuisance if other guests used it at night. Overall we were happy with our choice of hotel.

Captain Vasilis is a great choice in Chania. Their location is excellent, with great views of the harbor and located in the prettiest part of the old town. The owner was very helpful with trip and restaurant recommendations. The room was very comfortable and we really appreciated the good shower. Highly recommend this hotel.

We had a great room with a view of the harbor #6.We had a balcony that we shared with another room,but we never saw anyone else. The bath was small,but nice. The owners and those working there were friendly and very accommodating. We loved the breakfast. Everything was fresh and delicious! Perfect place to stay if you don't want to drive around which is pretty dicey and parking is difficult. I highly recommend!

Great location. Proximity to many restaurants, shops and 2 min walk to old harbor. Vasilis is very accommodating and flexible. His staff is polite and helpful. The hotel itself is very traditional and rustic. Beautiful interior and terrace view.

Great room with view overlooking the old port. Room was very spacious and well presented. Clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and breakfast was delicious.

+ Perfect location for those who want to stay in the town (taxi station is also near but mostly empty, so you call a taxi in front; finding a parking spot for a rented car was dreadful and took up to 30 min. every time until we discovered former industrial parking spot). + hotel Manager who is very well informed about current happenings and has phenomenal tips where to eat and what beaches to visit - rooms lack attention to detail (damages on the wall from the door nob in room nr.4, no blackout curtains on one window in room nr.5, water kettle completely dusty and with stinked up water inside, hotel bath maths are hanged on as hand towels) All in all this is symple hotel that offers good service for its price, and has still room for improvement.

Lovely historical building with views of the harbour, good air con, which was also useful for masking the music from an all-night bar nearby on the waterfront!

It was like travelling back in time to a long lost era. The hotel is small but big in character and charm with s great location and view of the old Chania port. Staff is incredibly attentive to your needs. really enjoyed my stay.

It was really nice location you feel being in Chania - Venetian Harbor. But there is a "bar=night club" at down stairs, so we were not able to get proper sleep. Saturday night it lasted until 6 am. We went out, there are some drunk people walking around. If you want to be in normal environment this is not a right place.

The view was immaculate from our room. Great location, nice breakfast!

Avoid. We booked a room in November 2018 for a week in July 2019. Two days before arrival the Hotel cancelled our booking saying they had overbooked and the room was not available. How can they do this when I booked 8 months in advance? Dont risk the stress of the Hotel cancelling your booking at the last minute!

Traditional Cretan family-owned hotel with a charming and helpful manager speaking good English. Our room and bathroom were small but adequate for a 7day stay. Not luxurious but a great view of the harbour from our window and the sun terrace.

Lovely old traditional family run B&B, amazing harbour views, breakfast was very tasty using all local ingredients, orange juice, yogurt and cheeses were delicious. I would recommend this to my friends and family, great place to unwind.
