Recommended by a local rep, the place was clean eclectic, and I believe his name was Kyle at the front desk was a tremendous help. The bar was fantastic. The room was comfortable. Everything was great.

It was amazing, as always! The staff went above and beyond at the hotel and the bar to make my stay comfortable and memorable. Every time I stay at The Ruby, which is often, I feel like I’m coming home.

Great, cute place

I would not call this hotel “luxury”. For the price it’s rather basic or sub basic. It’s missing many amenities like a basic chair in the room to go with the table. The only place to sit is on the bed or by dragging in a very uncomfortable balcony chair. Additionally there is absolutely NOT enough parking for guests. And there is no legit overflow lot. There is a small lot that is part of a separate business or office and that’s where the front desk said to park but no guarantee you won’t get towed and there are no cameras for that space. Again for the money, very underwhelming. The Marriott or Hyatt near by would be a better choice imo….you at least know what you are getting.
Oh and the hot water doesn’t get very hot. We had it on high with no cold water and it was luke warm. Maintenance said that WAS the hot water. Really!!
Overall I was disappointed. (Positive…weekend brunch food was very good)

This is my favorite place anytime I’m in the round rock or Austin area to stay.

I highly recommend The Ruby. I’ll definitely stay there again! It’s a few blocks off of a main road but it’s tucked away from the noise and hustle and bustle. Very friendly, very accommodating! It’s not a fancy place but it’s nice! The bar has delicious food! The management was in touch with from the time I made my reservation until after checkout.

From the moment I arrived to the moment I had to rear myself away to leave, the entire experience was exceptional.

It was easy and staff was awesome!

Completely unresponsive by text (their preferred mode of communication) or by telephone. Don’t expect to receive assistance after you check in. A shame because the property and rooms are nice. Management response to no response was a lackluster apology. An obvious problem given it happened 2 days in a row

The property was a lovely place to relax and unwind away from the big city life. The room was decorated very nicely and the front desk personnel was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again!

Beautiful property. Lounge/Bar area has a unique atmosphere unlike most hotels which was perfect after a day or work and traveling.

We were in town for a night to watch a Round Rock Express game and we stayed at this hidden gem!! It's tucked away in a quiet location off the beaten path and is situated next to a creek teeming with wildlife. If you can splurge for the creek view room I would recommend it. They offer mobile check-in which makes it super easy to just show up and go straight to your room. The property is well manicured with lots of areas to sit and relax. The rooms have a fun 60s retro vibe with all the modern conveniences. Speaking of retro, the building design reminds me of the old two-level roadside motels. As such, there isn't an elevator...only stairs. For anyone who has trouble with stairs or heavily packs their luggage, keep that in mind and request a first level room. Lastly, there are many great restaurants nearby, including the famous Round Rock Donuts which is less than a mile away.

Tucked away in a residential neighborhood the Ruby is stylish and a great place to stay if you want a different experience besides the big box hotels. The bar was great and the staff was top notch. Highly recommend.

Kyle helped carry our bags to the second floor since the property doesn’t have an elevator. We enjoyed the sunset from our balcony. This hotel is in downtown Round Rock but feels like you are in the woods next to a river.

I loved this unique boutique hotel with an upscale Route 66 mid century modern vibe. We splurged on the date night package and it was worth every penny. Friday night we were treated to a human jukebox in the bar who was very friendly and stopped by the table to visit. We had a great experience and will be back!

We had an excellent stay at the Ruby! My best friend from college met me there for the weekend, and it couldn’t have been a better place to do a girls weekend. It’s a precious little hotel and property, the staff is excellent, The rooms are really cute and the beds are comfy!! The pool is also really nice (although small and somewhat limited seating), but this didn’t cause us a problem. Our balcony overlooking brushy Creek was, amazing and such a nice little place to sit and visit and enjoy the natural scenery for a change.
It also has a beautiful little bar, where I had a yummy jalapeño infused margarita, one of the spicier ones I’ve had. They also serve some nice meals, although we did not eat there during our stay. The hotel is easily within walking distance to the town square, about six or seven blocks, where we got some delicious donuts at Round Rock Donuts, and found a nice little coffee shop, hit a few boutiques, and then an Italian restaurant for lunch. It couldn’t have been a nicer weekend!

Great property and experience, dog fee was a little outrageous. $100 for two little dogs for 2 nights,
But besides that a great place

This is a cute, slightly offbeat hotel - very lovely setting amidst beautiful trees and abutting Brushy Creek. Room was clean and comfortable, but a few things worth mentioning - the Nespresso machine didn't work in the room, there really is no desk space appropriate to work on, the room thermostat has a super bright green laser light which is very annoying at night, the bathroom while nicely appointed has inadequate lighting with which to easily shave, and I felt "hounded" or "scolded" by all the "rules" - i.e. no outside beverages in the pool area or property "per TABC rules", "quiet hours", no smoking except in designated area (which was not marked), etc. - none of these are a big deal but a little subtlety would have gone a long way. The bartenders at The Ruby Bar are excellent, all the staff very friendly, the snacks ordered while in the bar were tasty, and we had a surprisingly temperate evening weather-wise one night which made for an exceptionally pleasant time by the pool. The bathroom was large and shower had plenty of hot water and good water pressure.

All good with two suggestions. Rooms should have at least one chair. No way to relax or watch TV without sitting on the bed.
Pool needs fresh water infused more. It was very hot outside and the pool was like warm bath water. Not dirty or anything but also not cooling or refreshing.
Otherwise very nice place.

We liked that it was quiet and peaceful. The area was in a neighborhood away from busy streets, like being in the country. Comfortable beds and pillows and a cold air conditioner! Highly recommend for a quiet weekend getaway. Plus, the famous Round Rock donut shop only a couple of blocks away!! 😋

Fabulous place to stay - contemporary, serene and unique. Kyle at the front desk is a stalwart ambassador of the property and the local area. What a treat
