Beautiful hotel with top notch residences and facilities but very poor service. Management has to check that for sure... Delayed responses from stuff, gym, and sauna are literally dead by 8 pm ...not acceptable for a classy place like this, will definitely visit if they work in those few hiccups..

they’ve locked the indoor temperature to 25 degrees Celsius and you can’t change it to your comfort level. Worse of all, I brought this to their attention and they promised sending someone to come change it but no one showed up.

Mestil Hotel is not from our offices in the Industrial Area. Ronny at the bar is friendly and knows how I like my cosmopolitans, Rujeri is a wonderful waiter and Carol Aber does excellent housekeeping. Since the room I originally booked had no A/C, I was upgraded to a larger room. This was my fourth long stay (over two weeks) at Mestil Hotel.

Although I reserved well in advance (over a month ago), the room assigned to me was not at all checked. The A/C did not work nor was the room aired...I was able to finally check in at 11 pm. After a long journey from Germany. Not what I expect at all as a returning guest. Someone took my laundry in my own cloth bag and gave it to housekeeping to wash. This was NOT at all amusing. A lady does send out her under garments. Plus, why would I want to pay such high hotel prices to have items I do not need to wear again - washed by the hotel. This was not acceptable and thankfully, the housekeeping lady in charge did not charge me. Only clothes placed in the Mestil Laundry bag with completed form should be picked up. Do NOT go through my dirty laundry when it is not labeled for Mestil. $ 2 per underwear? $8 for gym pants? The Taxi serice at the hotel is absolutely dreadful. The drivers are not competent and do not listen. They charge UGX 30,000 for a simple ride. Best use Bolt or UBER: Thankfully, I found an honest, reliable and friendly driver via UBER. The restaurant service at Amber is not consistent. Only when Ronny or Rujeri are present and serve me. Double Cheeseburger came without the burger. I asked for ketchup and it took over 15 minutes to arrive. Unbelieveable that the waiter did not notice.... It seems that the guests dining at the restaurant are more important than the hotel guests dining at the restaurant. I attempted to explain to Prosper that I can book directly with the hotel and she did not seem to care. Very odd... Trying another hotel in May 2023 until my patronage is valued by the hotel managment.
