Hotel was noisy and the people staying were dodgy it was like a bail hostel had 2 security in foyer in case of trouble

The hotel is a hotel where the council puts homeless people. Where there's no respect for paying customers. We had people running up and down the stairs, shouting at all hours of the night. Shady residents hanging around outside the hotel drinking alcohol

Hotel Staff have been the friendliest, I’ve ever come across. So helpful..Helped make our 2 night stay a great experience. The 2 security guards, 1 daytime the other nighttime, helped my friends & i with directions, advice on restaurants This Hotel has so much potential, I would return again for the staff alone. The cleanliness of the hotel rooms though..was very poor. Bedrooms - Beds were clean & of a high standard, wardrobe, dresser clean & looked new, but…let down by the Unclean dirty floors, thick ground in dirt. Windows had Cobwebs, broken curtain rod Bathrooms - Unclean, showers cubicle unclean ground in dirty & broken, shower drainage blocked, flooded the bathroom, floors ground in dirt, sink & taps dirty. As 1 of my friends said, Spider-Man had previously stayed because there was Hand & foot marks all over the Walls. We booked 4 rooms, we had 3 ground floor rooms & 1 on the second floor for a 2 night stay. We looked beyond this & saw only the Potential with great staff. We didn’t complain to staff because we only had 2 nights & didn’t want to waste our time negatively. So the staff were not able to rectify the situation We enjoyed our stay despite this. Hoping our criticism is taken positively because the issues I’ve mentioned can be easily rectified.. and we wish the staff nothing but the best

Hotel was clean, staff were friendly and very helpful. Only downside of our stay was the fight that happened with other hotel guests on the Saturday night/ Sunday morning.

Hotel receptionist (Gemma?) was very nice and helpful. However the hotel and rooms are old, dated and quite dirty. Would not recommend staying there for any other purpose other than sleep for a few hours. No bar or food available.

Dirty stained mugs, stains on the bedding and the toilet wasn’t fixed to the floor properly. Holes in the walls and a massive lump of metal sticking out in the double bed. Rubbish nights sleep. Staff were nice, though.

Unless your company force you to stay here …don’t !! Especially if you are a female traveler. Not that I had any untoward advances you understand but this is a contractor hotel and a really poor one at that. My husband is a contractor and even he would struggle ro stay here. First room felt like a prison cell as no window. Ok I did ask for a ground floor room but this must have been the only single but there was no way I could stay in a cupboard with no natural light for 3 nights. Asked to be moved and I was to the first floor , marginally better at least it had a window . Receptionist wasn’t very smiley , friendly although the female security guard was (yes, security guard need I say more!). Look it’s not the staffs fault they must get fed up with the negative comments about the place but if you can afford more then go for it ..

Shower did not drain well in bathroom. Have stayed in a different room and not had the problem. Could only get limited channels on tv. No BBC or ITV channels

I have stayed a few times before and it has always been fine for me. It is clean and functional and does the job. Reception staff have always been friendly and helpful. Not in the town centre but not the centre is easily walkable. The hotel offers very good value.

Paid £35 for one night, staff were really nice, and helpful and allowed us to check in earlier for the races. The room was good enough for the price, comfy beds, hot powerful showers and the WiFi worked really well. Would stay again for the price.

From the outside it kinda looks like one of those motels you see on netflix where there are killers, but inside you can tell they've made an effort. The staff are very kind and friendly and made me feel very relaxed. There is a security guard on site 24/7 which made me comfortable about leaving my car in the carpark. The carpark is spacious so there was never a struggle. The room was brilliant, some scuffs and marks on the walls/furniture but it's a budget lodge so I didn't expect it to be perfect. But the room was huge, had tons of space, the beds were comfortable, en-suite etc. I really enjoyed my stay actually. I wasn't sure initially but the staff made it great. Also they offered laundry service which I used and it was very fast and good quality.

If you parking in this hotel, you must be careful of trap, they will design a fine for you!

Staffs are so ever lovely and friendly but the place itself needs redecorating plus needs professional cleaners to do proper cleaning and that’s the only downfall of this hotel.

Uncomfortable bed, dirty shower

We stayed at this hotel due to its location being close to the racecourse. I have to say violet the lady on reception was one of the friendliest and most hopeful receptionist, I have ever come across nothing was too much for her. The gentleman who was security at reception was also really friendly and helpful. We read all the negative reviews about this hotel. Yes its not the Ritz, proberly because your not paying Ritz prices but it was spot on for a nights stay. I have stayed in some so called top hotels and they have rubbish. Would me and my partner stay here again if we came back to Doncaster? The answer would be Yes!. You pay for what you get. This hotel for me stands head and shoulders above some of the best with its customer service and thats priceless for us! Keep up that great customer service. Jason

the property was cheap and relatively convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful. The property is located on an industrial estate and the first impression is that it might be sheltered housing or social welfare provision. The room was very small with insufficient space for my small suitcase and oddly there were no towell rails so had to hang wet towells on the curtain rail.

The first room allocated for the stay had a strong cigarette smoke smell, when reported to reception they found another room for the stay which was not smelling of smoke. The rooms are basic and for one night stay this was absolutely fine. The rooms could benefit from a deep clean (including some of the walls). Quiet area to stay in and very close to local amenities and good road network to get to your next destination. Staff were very friendly throughout the stay.

Primelodge Doncaster is a very basic hotel. It would benefit from redecoration and maybe a picture or two in the rooms. Cheap beds but reasonably comfortable. I wouldn't bother with the breakfast though. Rather bizarre though that whilst the room was not serviced after my first night the towels were replaced. There is a security issue on the ground floor rooms in that they fully open and are only

Appeared clean, bed was reasonable comfortable. The hallways needed hoovering. Plenty of parking. Plenty of hot water in the shower.The television was rather high which maded watching it uncomfortable. For a one night stay whilst travelling it was perfectly adequate. There were three men in the foyer in uniforms who I assume were security guards, when walking in an out I had to walk through them which was a little disconcerting.
