the private room had no AC and the air inside the room was super humid because of outside conditions - but i heard and saw the dorms have AC and very nice air so maybe just consider that while booking :)

Super good vibes, clean, spacious, and loved the open air kitchen dining and hammocks. Dorm room was the best I ever stayed in, very large room, big comfortable beds, AC, and a large ensuite bathroom & shower. Marco & the people that work were are truly lovely people with good energy and hospitality. I stayed for 2+ weeks and wish I could have stayed longer.

Excellent location, walking distance to the beach, restaurants, grocery store and even laundry! Great place for short or long term stays, beds are really comfortable, outdoor kitchen is amazing and you don’t hear all the motorcycle and car noise from the streets!!! I booked 2 nights in a private room for a really good price and I ended up staying for a few weeks alternating between privates and the amazing big bed dorms they have! Big bed dorms? That’s right! First time I’ve seen it. Really, really good vibes from the owner Marco and literally everyone that comes to this very special place. Thank you so much! ❤️❤️

Nous avons adoré notre séjour au ICO Living Hostel. Marco a été un hôte très accueillant et nous a aidé lorsque nous avons eu un pépin sur la plage. La chambre ainsi que la salle de bain sont d'une bonne grandeur et la petite cuisine extérieure est parfaite pour préparer certains repas à la maison, avec tous les équipements nécessaires. L'établissement est près de la « main road » ainsi que de l'accès principal à la plage, qui se trouve à 2-3 minutes de marche.

Le stationnement demandait un peu de logistique, mais ne nous a pas causé problème!

The staff was great, the location was perfect, quiet at night and in the middle of everything. The staff was excellent, they recommended the best surf teacher and helped with everything we needed. The internet was decent for a zoom call (but no video), the kitchen was perfect. I didn’t stay in the dorm but the dorm beds were double and i think that’s amazing.

We had a double room with a 2 fans. The room was quite small, the bunk bed very shaky and it was right behind the reception which meant we can hear everything. It was extremely hot during the night, especially in the bunk bed upstairs. The toilets should be cleaned twice a day (so at night time too, not only mornings), as they can get very dirty. Maybe it depends on the number of guests too.

This place is stunning, people there are super kind, welcoming and helpful with anything you need. Close to the best surf spot, shops and restaurant. Love staying there and sharing time with the crew! Absolutely coming back 🤍

This place is a gem of a hostel. Great location, lovely people and it has all you need. There is a nice kitchen where you can meet people or make food. The room has AC and a comfy bed. The staff is soooo great at this place. We were well received and helped throughout our stay. I also recommend booking a surf lesson with the hostel, we had a great time. Thanks everyone!

Het is prachtig, het wordt goed schoongehouden en het is gewoon een fijne, gezellige, hippe en mooie plek! Zo hebben we er echt weinig gezien in Costa Rica. Het personeel is super vriendelijk en de keuken die je kan gebruiken is heel fijn. Mega dichtbij het strand!

Het was super warm in de kamer zonder airco, er is wel een ventilator gelukkig:)

-sehr gut gelegen (3min vom Strand, nahe vieler Restaurants und Kaffees) -gut ausgestattete, saubere Küche -in der Küche lernt man auch viele Leute kennen, da diese sich, wie auch die Tische, draussen befindet und sich so alle dort treffen -wahnsinnig hilfsbereite, liebe Gastgeber: unsere Freundin war krank und sie haben uns einen Arzt ins Zimmer bestellt. Unsere Freundin bekam dann im Zimmer eine Infusion und wurde gut versorgt. Die Gastgeber haben sich dann die nächsten Tage immer wieder erkundigt, ob es ihr besser ging. Marco hat und auch sehr viele Tipps für Santa Teresa und andere Orte in Costa Rica gegeben, was wirklich hilfreich war.

Ich würde das 4er private Zimmer nur empfehlen, wenn einem bewusst ist, dass es keine Klimaanlage hat und entsprechend extrem heiss wird. Alle anderen Zimmer hatten aber AC und sahen sehr schön aus. Auch der 8-er Dorm war riesig, hatte AC und sogar 120cm Betten!

La ubicación es perfecta, a sólo 100mts de la playa y bares. Lugar muy tranquilo, ideal para ir a surfear y levantarse temprano. El espacio es amplio y la cocina/comedor es amplia y al aire libre. Allí sólo hay agua fría en los baños. Hay una señora muy amable que limpia cada día todo el hostel. Las camas son dobles y con espacio amplio en la habitación compartida de 8. El personal es súper atento y detallista! Gracias Marco, Lucas y Lupe! Son los mejores

Faltan cortinas en la habitación y tal vez sería bueno en las camas tmb para tener un poco de privacidad. Lo demás, muy bueno!♡

Beautiful modern hostel set away from the road like an oasis. 8 bed room was airy and all bunks were double beds with a lockable locker and charging point. Kitchen was outdoor and airy , fully stocked 2 sinks 2 hobs and double fridge. Cleaner every day. Someone on site at most times to answer any queries and well run. Large showers.

Very little - bottom of the fridge was a bit dirty and could do with a sort out. The top bunk was pretty high, rocky and a bit creaky.

Hands down the best hostel i’ve been to. I mean, double beds duh … + the managers are the sweetest people i’ve met there

Die offene Gemeinschaftsbereich mit der Küche, sitzmöglichkeiten und den Hängematten ist klasse. Der Besitzer Marco ist super sympathisch und ist mit herzblut dabei .

Great vibe to the place. Very close to the beach and food places. Clean. Marco and his staff were super helpful and friendly.

This place will only get better with time. Marco has big plans and it’s a great spot, well designed.

Virkelig en hyggelig atmosfære især ude omkring køkkenet, som er godt udstyret og har massere af plads! Vi var enormt begejstrede for den ro vi fik, vi kom fra et andet hostel, hvor der var musik og renoveringsstøj hele dagen - meget befriende at komme til et mere hyggeligt og "laud back" hostel. Utroligt hyggeligt og hjælpsomt personale

Det eneste er at lagenerne var lidt små, men det er det eneste vi kunne sætte en finger på i 5 overnatninger, og selv med det ville vi bo der igen!

Maybe it is a bit far for going out. It is 17 min by foot to the "city center". On the other hand it is 1 min to a surfable beach, depends on what you are looking for :D

Beautiful accommodation, comfy (double) beds in dorms. Friendly an helpful staff and owner. Location is perfect, very close to the entrance to playa Santa Teresa. Social but peaceful place with well equipped kitchen.

I wish they had coffee, but the (Italian) owner can tell you the best place to get some :)

Het was een net hostel. De gezamenlijke keuken/zitstukje is ruim en heel netjes. De kamers zijn ruim. Alle basisvoorzieningen zijn aanwezig. Het personeel is fantastisch. Ze zijn toegankelijk, beschikbaar en hebben de ervaring absoluut beter gemaakt. Er hing een goede sfeer.

Het stapelbed is wat wiebelig, vooral als je omhoog moet klimmen. De badkamer was opzich netjes, maar was snel vies door het zand, veel nattigheid en de haren van anderen. Lastig te zeggen of dat door het hostel of vooral de gasten kwam, maar het maakte het douchen een stuk minder comfortabel. Ook was soms de waterdruk weg waardoor minder water uit de douche/kraan kwam.

-eine gemütliche Ecke zum verweilen fehlt uns -auf den Fotos sieht alles etwas netter aus - für uns war es etwas lieblos -es ist sehr laut, auch die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig (die Umgebung allgemein ist sehr laut)

El hostal tenía parking pero solo para 3 coches en línea. Había que estar pendiente de si alguien quería salir. Pero realmente no fue un problema porque le podíamos dejar las llaves en recepción. El acceso a la ducha y el rack de las tablas se podría mejorar

La ubicación del hostel es estupenda, las instalaciones son muy nuevas y hay aire acondicionado en la habitación. Todo funciona muy bien y la gente del hostel son lo mejor!! Muy contenta con la experiencia

El wifi funciona súper bien (llamadas por zoom y todo genial), pero si necesitas trabajar en remoto puede ser complicado porque en Santa Teresa hace muchísimo calor y no hay un espacio de trabajo con aire
