I had an awful experience at Mufasa City Hostel and Apartments during my stay from September 8 to September 9, 2024. Here are the main reasons why I strongly advise against staying here: No Hot Water: There was no hot water in the shower throughout my stay. I reported this to the property, but they did nothing to resolve the issue, leaving me with no choice but to take cold showers. Unbearable Noise Levels: The property had loud music and disruptive noise well past midnight. Despite my complaints, nothing was done to stop it, making it impossible to get any sleep. No Response from Management: The property completely ignored my messages, both during and after my stay. I followed up several times and received no help or apology for the situation. False Advertising: The lack of hot water and excessive noise make this property unlivable, despite the amenities they advertise. The pictures and description are misleading, and the management is unresponsive when problems arise. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a property listed on Booking.com. I have been a Genius Level 3 customer for over ten years and have never encountered such poor service. The property is not only unreliable, but it also does not meet the basic expectations of comfort and hospitality. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. There are far better options out there where you will be treated with respect and receive the basic amenities you pay for.

My booking was mixed up. I got a room that did not have the TV, a necessary to amenity during my work travels but the manager was courteous enough to provide a discount. The gesture was not necessary but was kind and thoughtful.

Very clean, comfortable beds, modern interior. Laundry machine. Amazing rooftop terrace with 360 degree views over the city.

Hostel isn’t staffed 24/7, during my stay, staff was only there a few hours in the afternoon, very unfortunately. Guests weren’t able to check out properly or pay for their stay. Location is next to the market but quite a dodgy area. During my stay, it was reported that a guests bag was snatched in front of the hostel door. Electricity: although there are socket walls at every bed, they aren’t functional. Light is usually working. Electricity to charge only at the rooftop terrace, best to bring a power bank.

Great hostel, the room was very big and clean. Had everything I needed - hot shower, wifi. The girls who work there are extremely nice and helpful. I could keep my luggage there while I was on safari. Also, I asked for late breakfast and later check out on the day of my departure, and it was not a problem at all. Good location, walking distance from the center.

I have stayed here for 6 nights before and after the safari. This place is new and clean. The staff is nice and responsive. It has roof top which I saw new year firework. It is convenient to go to supermarket. I am so surprised not many people come to stay here. Bolt is better than Uber in Tanzania.
