Izzy was great, friendly, and very informative. Room was clean, loved the TV, nice big bathroom and was nice to have an ocean view.

King bed didn't feel like a king size. Feet hung off and head was at the pillow headboard. Bed was a little hard for my liking too. Felt it was a little overpriced as well.

We booked the hotel because off location rooms over looking the ocean , that’s what it states in booking . Com.. our room looked over the car park .. we didn’t travel all the way over from Australia to look at a car park .. wen we arrived the reception said we had a room upgrade 🤣.. to floor 8 .. higher view off car park 😂. 🐨🐨

Location was very good for a family event plus close to restaurants and shops. Nice new hotel - we wanted to treat ourselves to a comfortable sleep after traveling and camping.

King bed was too soft and starting to sag on one side. The duvet too heavy for the summer, no regular blanket provided.

1) Attitude of some staff We paid for 3 days parking but this was not entered into the system. Consequently, when we came to leave, we found 3 parking tickets on our car. Although the staff on duty accepted this was their error, we were told we should pay & we would be reimbursed. When we naturally refused, we were told it would be paid by hotel that day & we would be informed. It wasn’t & we needed to phone the next day to chase it up. Eventually, it was sorted by Aryan who was not previously involved. The manager on duty on Wednesday 21st June was unhelpful did not quickly resolve a simple situation. 2) Building claims it’s eco credentials but all windows in our room were sealed necessitating air con unit to be on 24/7 to circulate air. (This was on the advice of the engineer when we had asked how to turn off the unit). Surely this isn’t planet friendly.

The Staff was excellent , the Room was clean and the toiletries were more than adequate. Room service is every 2 days which is good. In addition , the hotel is very close to nanaimo port and nanaimo parks which is great.

This is a new hotel so I will let some things slide BUT overall there are some things to be improved. 1) The Breakfast was less than adequate in my view. There is basically a starbucks at the lobby and you get your only options from there which are minimal to say the least. The quality is OK but nothing to write home about. There are improvements needed here but I see no reason to book a room with a breakfast at this time. 2) At least in my room the ventilation is not adequate. There is a ventilator that is ON 100% of the time to keep the air fresh which of course makes a lot of noice. Turning it off is possible but then the air in the room becomes very stale.

I booked the Standard King Room with a city view and it was promising. The good quality mattress and pillows made our stay very exceptional.

Basic but adequate breakfast and happy hour offerings. Good location and nice to finally have a modern hotel in Nanaimo. Convenient for low cost car parking and access to waterfront areas / city centre.

The staff were very accommodating, the parking was convenient across the road & reserved for Courtyard. The room facilities, coffee/tea maker, small empty fridge and microwave were good. Bathroom facilities excellent apart from the hand sink. The view was great over the city and water. The Bistro Restaurant in the Hotel had a variety of seating arrangements from kiosk to long tables & comfortable seating arrangements for drinks & casual meals.

Bistro service at the bar with food brought to the table, limited menu. The bathroom sink did not have a stopper so the taps had to run all the time to wash. Wasted water and very inconvenient. Management did not offer a solution. We bought a Moen Rubber stopper to hold the water in the sink which was the solution. We left it with the Hotel Management and recommended that they purchase these stoppers for their sinks.

the air conditioner sounded like a cement mixer. after the first night we asked for a room change. once we got a new room the stay got a lot better. staff was good about it.

The property location are very convenient and accessible to the town.

poor service and the front desk they are not knowledgeable of what they are doing … it’s very alarming to the property 1sr touch doesn’t have the property approach with their guest. They have to undergo training like warm service training or any training relevant to service.

I know this is kind of normal for new hotels but I sure miss being able to open a window for some fresh air. plus the heat/air con unit is quite noisy.

The hotel is nice and new with a pool and hot tub. The room was spacious

I requested early check in and was told they would call me back which they never did. The hotel wasnt even sold out. There is only pay parking and it is across the street
