The owner of the hostel was there to personally show me around. Also she took the time to sit and drink tea with her guests to get to know them.
The hostel is rustic and very charming.
A great vibe from the moment I arrived.
The staff could not do enough for you
The food was amazing.. and coffee and tea was always available.
Bonus the beach is only 100 meters away.
I very highly recommend coming to stay if like me you are a wondering traveler...

I did like the availability and support offered by the manager Didi. The place is really close to a beach and is good to relax and take a break.
The breakfast was wonderful!
I faced some difficulties in moving to Asilah and other beaches: I was travelling alone without a car, and transportation is not so easy. You can find some shared taxi/van if you walk to the main road, but you have to wait, sometimes a while, and taxi ask you between 5/15 euro per ride during the day, and 10/20 euro in the night. The hostel staff helped me providing the number of a trustful taxi, but anyway you can face difficulties if you want to spend the evening in Asilah.

The location is top closed to the beach.I have enjoyed my stay in Dar el pirata.Dalila take care of the guets.,offering rich marocan breakfast .Thanks..

The house is very cozy and located right in front of a beautiful beach. Great atmosphere, Didi was an amazing host and made me feel right at home. I booked 5 nights and ended up staying 8. Asilah is also very easy to reach by bus or taxi in a few minutes. Overall a great place to stay and I will definitely be back!

The first moment I got off at the train station Dede was incredible, my taxi driver only took me half way and just dumped me on the street. I gave Dede a call and she sent me the directions and checked in on me until I arrived! Once getting to der el pirata I felt at home, I only stayed one night but gosh I wish I could book a whole week! I was truly treated like family and I couldn’t have asked for a better place/host to spend my final days in Morocco.
With just getting started there’s some miner improvements that can be made but you can tell that Dede is excited to improve!

Dalila ( the owner ) is a wonderful person, charismatic and very friendly
I have been traveling a lot in Morocco but never experienced a fantastic experience like at " Dar el pirada "
The atmosphere is very unique and I have met wonderful guests as well while I was there
I will definitely come back to see the adorable Dalila

Place is near to the beach with nice sunset view. Simple but very good and tasty homemade breakfast.

I stayed at Dar el pirata for two nights with my wife in April and we found the setting to be just perfect, the food was delicious and the host was very friendly. What a charming little place to relax on the beach and watch the sun go down. Would recommend A++++
We would have stayed for three or four nights but the place was fully booked. Would be great if they had more rooms!

the place is clean, right on the beach, the breakfast is super decent and the host amazing and very helpful, it's a village so you have to walk to the main road to get public transport which is extremely cheap (less than a euro to get to Assilah or Tangier) Bottom line, if you're on a budget and want a quiet place right on the beach, you can't go wrong with this one!
