The location was wonderful! The outdoor space was relaxed and cozy. Everyone was hanging out having fun and drinks & food were available at the counter. The hostel had a quirky and fun vibe! Upon my arrival they gave me clean sheets.
I have no complaints! If you like things extremely clean then you might be uncomfortable. But it’s a relaxed environment so go with the flow :)

Great atmosphere at the common area on the ground floor, nice staff who hang out with us.
Location is top, food stalls, nice restaurants nearby.
During the day you can visit Mattancherry (not very close but still walking distance), at night the pier (right next to the hostel).
From the nearby bus stop you can get to Ernakulam.
The room I stayed in had a mosquito problem despite the tight nets on the windows and the fans, make sure to keep the bathroom closed and/or cover yourself at night.

Rooms need to be furnished and its difficult to to climb from the length side, i suggest you yo stair/ ladder should be on the breath or end side of the bed

They fixed the hot water, a/c and the power after a bit of work.
Its the oldest hostel and now it needs improvement. There is some work to be done.
Its not at all the same as shown and described on booking.com or agoda. They have probably not been there.

The location is good near the centre and ferry.
A/C in room. Controlled at certain times.
The breakfast coffee was good.
Room was cleaned daily.

Shower room smelled really bad! Made me feel sick!
The kitchen and fridge downstairs covered in ants!
The common room table swarmed with ants.
The ladies who served breakfast didn't look happy at all.
I was hassled by an individual male staff which was unacceptable.
Huge mosquitos In the room and no mosquito net.
Metal lockers look nice but are very noisy!
Doors unlocked.
I would not stay here again. I moved a much better and cheaper hostel when I returned to Kochi and was much happier.
