Very cosy and homey house, warm host with good advice. Beautiful, green and quiet surrounding. Perfect with kids and perfect location for example for Arsenal stadium and Stansted airport (by car).

Clarendon Cottage is the oldest house in Enfield and a place of both literary and historic merit, as Charles and Mary Lamb stayed here. It was beautifully appointed, exquisitely furnished and carefully restored by its current owners. Ben is a wonderful and gracious host. The rooms were immaculately presented and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed having our own sitting room, as well, and appreciated the freshly baked bread and coffee. It was truly a privilege staying in such an extraordinary house and we highly recommend it. It’s an incredible, once in a lifetime experience.

The location and quaintness were superb. The host made us feel very welcome also.

Ben was very welcoming, i was staying for a family funeral and Ben organised an Uber for me,he was very helpful.

No breakfast left out or offered the two days i was there which i was under the impression was part of the price of the stay. Very disappointed. Ruined what would have been a perfect stay.

A true piece of history. The hosts were wonderful, warm and catered to our needs perfectly. 100% will re-book and recommend to friends and family.
