War definitiv das schönste Hotel während unserer zwei wöchigen Ferien. Die Anlage ist wunderschön. Die Zimmer sind modern eingerichtet und sehr neu. Alles ist sehr sauber. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie organisierten uns den Transfer zum Flughafen in Colombo welcher günstiger war als z.b. auf 12go. Man ist etwas abgelegen von Sigiriya hat aber dadurch ruhe und ist mitten in der Natur. Wir waren mit unserem Tuktuk unterwegs also war dies kein Problem. Kann das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen :)

Room was nice and well maintained, all was clean and orderly.

I had quite a few miscommunications with the staff during my stay. As a solo female traveler, I didn’t feel very comfortable in this space, as it seemed if you opened your blinds at all anyone on the property could look into your space. Or if you used the pool, that you were just a central focal point for all. Additionally, I was a bit confused because I had asked to arrange a tuktuk to hike in the morning — and when I was getting in, two of the men from the hotel came into my tuktuk. No one explained to me they would be coming, and I had no idea what was happening — if they were just getting a ride to town or what… they ended up doing the whole hike with me and we’re friendly, but other solo travelers probably wouldn’t appreciate this. To top it off, I still paid the entire round trip ride by myself? Though two other people, unannounced joined the trip? Confusing to say the least. Additionally, the Tuk Tuk driver charges 3x more than a pick me ride (ride share app commonly used in Sri Lanka) so beware. The place is super hard to find and get to (down a small dirt road for a while) so it is hard to use any other transport. Overall nice stay and fine accommodation, but definitely had moments where I was unsure what was happening and felt uncomfortable as a young solo female.

Siamo stati 3 notti in questo piccolo angolo di paradiso in mezzo alla natura. Si trova a 5 minuti dal Lion’s Rock. È stato tutto perfetto. Camere pulite e spaziose, il bagno molto bello. Lo staff super gentile, accogliente e pronto a soddisfare qualsiasi tipo di necessità. Il giardino e la piscina sono sempre molto curati. Un grazie speciale a Prianka, una persona meravigliosa che ha reso il nostro soggiorno indimenticabile. Lo consigliamo vivamente!

Unglaubliche Lage im Dschungel. Kurzer Weg mit Sicht auf den Sigiriya Rock

This accommodation exceeded my personal expectations. The cottages were modern, new, comfortable, and spacious enough. The pool and dining area were beautiful. What was even more delightful was that at times, it felt like we were staying in a zoo. Toucans, monkeys, peacocks, large squirrels, and dozens of different birds. Probably, one wouldn't experience such fauna in the heart of a town. Yes, it's located away from the centrum Sigirya, but since we had a rented car, it wasn't a problem to drive to the centrum for meals. However, on-site dining options were also available, as is common in Sri Lankan accommodations. Personally, I enjoyed Sigiriya, and this accommodation was my favorite among our nine different lodgings. It holds the top spot in my ranking, although not in my family's :) but I appreciate the closeness to nature.

The staff was amazing. Super friendly and helpful. They also prepared the best meals.

Beste hotel in onze reis doorheen Sri Lanka. Oase van rust. Huisjes waren ruim, en proper. Personeel zeer behulpzaam. Zwembad dik pluspunt!

The staff were super friendly and the cottages were lovely. We felt so happy to stay at this place, the owners made us feel at home. Also the food at the restaurant was amazing.. the best food we had in Sigiriya. I definitely recommend this place!!

Impresionante el trato del personal. Muy amables y atentos. Nos organizaron el safari y un masaje. La habitación muy espaciosa equipada con aire acondicionado. El entorno del hotel muy bonito, y a tan solo 10 minutos de Sigiriya. Todo muy limpio y cuidado. Cuentan con un pequeño restaurante también dentro del hotel.

Everything is perfect! all new, just recently opened. The staff is lovely and will help you with anything. The pool is very nice and the breakfast is great! Everything is great so we can only give it a 10/10. I’m recommending it to all my friends!

Super schöne und ruhige Anlage etwas abseits von Sigiriya. Es stehen kostenlos Fahrräder zur Verfügung, mit denen man etwas die Umgebung erkunden kann. Das Personal ist total freundlich und aufmerksam. Sowohl das Frühstück, als auch das Abendessen können wir empfehlen.

Todo. Estancia perfecta. El concepto de alojamiento que se ofrece es una maravilla, suficiente con 5 cottages y el plus de la piscina que le da el toque especial. Además de sus trabajadores, que no podían haber sido más amables y serviciales. Siempre sonrientes. Es lo que da un toque familiar y acogedor a este sitio. La comida de allí muy rica (en especial las sopas, cenamos todas las noches y eran una delicia). Presahadi y su marido (dueño del sitio) son dos personas maravillosas que incluso se ofrecieron a darnos una vuelta por los alrededores en su propio coche, nos enseñaron un par de lagos, arrozales, etc. Todas nuestras dudas y preguntas fueron resueltas gracias a que se conocen la isla perfectamente. Estamos muy muy agradecidas con todos ellos. Nos enamoró tanto el sitio que decidimos quedarnos una noche más para aprovechar los encantos que tiene Sigiriya (no costó demasiado tomar esa decisión). Definitivamente volvería a elegir este alojamiento y lo recomiendo.

Nada que merezca un “mal” comentario, para los más quisquillosos serán detalles importantes, pero para el resto insignificantes y no cambian nada en absoluto la calidad de la estancia.

Wenn ich könnte würde ich eine 12/10 geben. Die Besitzer und das Personal waren unfassbar lieb und hilfsbereit. Die Anlage selber ist wunderschön und auch das Essen sehr gut! Wir würden immer wieder kommen!

The Cottage is a beautiful little oasis in the jungle. From the moment you arrive you are greeted will smiles from a lovey team of staff who provide a fantastic service through out your stay. The rooms are comfortable and spacious , the Sri Lankan breakfast is a must with lots of other tasty options on the menu for lunch and dinner. The free bikes are great as there is lots to explore between The Cottage and Sigiriya with local craft shops and eateries, and of course Lion Rock. Rafi is the perfect host, he coordinated scooter hire , a Safari trip and our transfer to the airport and was always on hand to offer advice if we needed it. The pool is pristine and a lovely place to relax. The Cottage was the perfect place to wrap up our Sri Lankan holiday. Thank you Rafi and Team.

We hebben erg genoten van ons verblijf bij The Cottage. Prachtig opgezet, mooi zwembad. Fijne ruime huisjes. Rafi staat de hele dag voor je klaar. De prijs-kwaliteit verhouding is uitstekend.

Het ligt aan een doodlopend straatje, je kunt niet lopend naar restaurantjes toe. Voor ons was dit geen probleem aangezien we een eigen tuktuk hadden.

Break was amazing we really enjoy it, and location is also near to center.

It’s will be much more better, if hotel will provide more toiletries and soft slippers inside the room.

Der Inhaber Rafi, versucht dir alles von den Augen abzulesen um den Aufenthalt zu angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Er hat uns immer bei fragen geholfen und die Abreise organisiert.

Auch wenn das Hotel erst vor kurzem eröffnet hat könnte es „moderner“ und sauberer sein. Es sieht an vielen Ecken doch schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen aus. Der Fernseher im Zimmer ist zB. nur Deko. Das Frühstück und das Restaurant hat großes Verbesserungspotential.

A beautiful place in the middle of the nature, it’s so peaceful. The service was perfect, the owners are adorable
