Property was well located - we could walk to restaurants and the lake was just down the street. It was well stocked with everything we needed, quiet, and the place was super clean. Owners were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

The apartment is newly renovated and sparklingly clean. Beds were comfy, lighting excellent, good shower, quiet neighborhood walkable to restaurants and shops with easy street parking. Note that you are staying in an ADU above garage, behind owner’s home so you walk through owner’s backyard to get there. It is fine but sometimes we dealt with the reality of the setup like passing through the space when yard is in use or hearing the garage doors open and close, or noise from being on the service alley (like neighbor working on his motorcycle). Nothing horrible but perhaps not as private as some other Vrbos. The kitchen is immaculate but not well equipped, and owners might consider spending $50-100 on some basics (a small fry pan, a few herbs and spices, coffee, more cooking utensils, etc) just to make it easier so guests don’t have to buy everything to make some basic meals. It wasn’t a major issue but if you’ve stayed in many rentals like we have you might consider the kitchen setup to be thinly stocked. Owners were friendly, flexible and responsive.

This was our second time staying at this lovely, quiet and private apartment in the Ecco neighborhood, a few blocks South and West of Uptown. It was about 4 mins walk to the amazing Black Walnut bakery, 8 mins walk to the lovely lake and lakefront at Bde Maka Ska and similar to Uptown. The apartment is really comfortable and beautifully outfitted. Everything is of high quality and clearly a lot of thought went into the decor and design. Kitchen is fully equipped, bed very comfortable. Parking was easy on the street, (not sure how well that would work in winter in Minneapolis). Natacha was very responsive and helpful. Thank you so much Natacha! We'll be back for sure!

My partner and I stayed here for Memorial Day weekend and had an amazing trip. The property is beautiful, sparkling clean, modern and comfortable, and the location is absolutely perfect. There's so much in walking distance but still ample street parking if you have a car. The host was clear on description and instructions, and answered all of our questions quickly. I would absolutely stay here again!

This was our 4th stay in this sweet little apartment in Uptown, but our first time with the new owners. They were fantastic—the only disappointment was not being able to use the garage for parking, which was a major selling point of the property under the previous owners. Nevertheless, we will return as the location is ideal, the apartment clean, modern, and perfect for a couple, the neighborhood is quiet, and it’s walking distance to so many restaurants and shops. Also, having a washer and dryer is very convenient! We look forward to our next trip to Minneapolis!

We have stayed at this property 5 or 6 times. It’s perfect for our needs. Close to the lakes, restaurants, grocery, bakery, etc. Super easy to get downtown. The space itself is modern and well designed, just enough for two people. Ryan and Natacha are a pleasure to work with and super responsive. We feel welcome and comfortable here. We’ll be back again in the Fall!

Really enjoyed our stay. The location was centrally located and in a great neighborhood. The apartment was very up to date and perfect for my wife and I.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again in the future. The carriage house literally has everything you need, including laundry. It is very clean and well maintained and the check in and out process was super easy. Lots to do in the area, but also a great place to sip coffee in the morning or watch a movie later in the day.

Beautiful, bright and relaxing guest house above the garage. Everything was pristine and well taken care of! I enjoyed being able to walk the lakes, a local bakery, shops and restaurants! They are wonderful hosts! Would definitely stay here again!!

I’ve lost track of how many times we’ve stayed at this property. It’s either 5 or 6, and we’ve already booked in 2024! This was the first time under new ownership, and we found Ryan and Natacha to be every bit as accommodating as the previous owners. This apartment above a garage is perfect for two people. It has everything you could need for an extended stay, including full size washer & dryer. It’s close to the Lake, as well as three excellent restaurants, a grocery store and the best bakery in town! Can’t wait to return!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5-week stay at this location. Everything about this apartment including photos is exactly as stated on VRBO. First, the neighborhood is safe and quiet. There is a garage available to use if you’re not driving a large SUV like ours, but street parking was never a problem. The apartment is private, immaculate and beautiful! It was very comfortable and a welcome refuge at the end of busy days. We love the fact that it’s just a 2-block walk to the beach on beautiful Lake Bde Maka Ska. Morning walks around the lake was our favorite way to start our day. Coffee shops, cafes & great restaurants are also within walking distance. This location has easy access to major freeways so getting around (or out) of the metro area is a breeze. Natacha & Ryan are gracious hosts and very attentive to anything you may need during your stay. This is now our first choice for future trips to the Twin Cities.

My husband and I stayed two nights at Natacha and Ryan’s apartment for our wedding weekend and it was exactly as the photos show. The apartment was clean, beautifully decorated and gets lovely sunlight in the mornings. The bed is super comfortable! Natacha and Ryan are were extremely accommodating and friendly! We will definitely stay here again the next time we are staying in the cities!

This lovely, well appointed apartment in Uptown is our favorite place to stay in all of the Twin Cities. This was our second stay, and we hope to return many more times. Modern, clean, quiet, artfully designed, and in walking distance to all our favorite bars, restaurants, and shops in Uptown. The garage is perfect for our small car, and we always feel so safe. A++

Just as the photos show, it was beautiful ! Very well thought out, with everything we needed. The location was awesome. Near the lake, and walking distance to the Black Walnut Bakery. Even a garage space for our rental! Make sure your rental is small, though.

We had a great time in this property. The place was clean, well-lit, and beautifully decorated. It also had a comfortable bed, efficient AC, and an excellent shower. The location is great - a couple of blocks from a lovely lake/beach and a few restaurants nearby. Hosts were gracious and helpful. We would love to come back some day.

Rod met us at the garage and let us in. He showed us the apartment which is beautiful. It was very clean with great light from the windows. Bed was comfortable, living room too. Nice kitchen. Great walk-in shower. It was easy to get around to where we were going. Rod and Annie are very nice people.

From our initial interactions with Rod and Annie; to their greeting; to our good-byes, this was a terrific stay. The unit is in a great neighborhood (shops, restaurants, lake) and having the parking spot (a bit tight!) was terrific. My husband and I had a wonderful stay for a long weekend in March. The apartment is stunning! It is beautifully outfitted and comfortable--clearly a *lot* of thought has gone into the design, the decor and the supplies/equipment. It has a calm and classy vibe. The garage was much appreciated when we had late winter snowfall. There have been a lot of comments on the small size of the garage, but IMHO, the garage space seemed normal one-car size, but maneuvering into and out of the garage would be problematic with anything bigger than a compact. We rented a Honda HRV which worked out fine. The location is in a beautiful quiet neighborhood just south of Uptown, and near the excellent Black Walnut bakery. Communication with the owners was excellent and we had a warm welcome with fast and helpful responses. All check-in directions were very clear and straightforward. We will for sure be back!

A beautifully decorated, tasteful and modern apartment that was very warm and comfortable with high-end appliances, a well-appointed kitchen and a great bed! Just a block and a half from the lake and from Uptown which would be great for a Summer or Fall trip although we were there in January which wasn’t quite so balmy. It’s quite a long way from the interstate which added a lot of time to our trips around the metro and to the airport. Also, the property is above a garage structure and only accessible from the alley, not the street, which was confusing and saw us scrambling around the snowbanks when we first arrived and tried to figure out the access. It does come with a parking spot in the garage which was very welcome given the cold and snow, but it was an extremely tight fit for our full-size rental car. Owners Rod and Annie were kind and responsive throughout.

I loved my stay at this property, I can’t stop talking about it. It was beautiful, clean, and the hosts were extremely responsive. It is my top 1% of vrbo/abnb property stays, and I travel a ton. I stayed for five nights over the Christmas holiday, it was extremely cold but I felt super cozy in the beautifully appointed “Fonzie”, over the garage unit. I felt like I was at my own home, and every last detail was considered. Location is fabulous, and to be fair, my brother and family live a block away, so the location could not have been better for me. It’s close to great bakeries, restaurants, and yoga. Completely walkable and great garage space. Would love to stay again. Thank you Rod and Annie!

I stayed at this lovely apartment for 2 (wintery) weeks. Found it very cozy, well appointed and convenient (it included great linens, hot showers, washer/dryer, gas stove, dishwasher, cable TV). Even though the outside temps ranged from 4 degrees up into the 30s, the apartment was warm and inviting. I enjoyed the proximity to lake Bde Maka Ska (just a few blocks away) - the neighborhood is very walkable and felt safe. I also appreciated the convenient parking in the neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again - it's a gem!

This was our third stay in Rod & Annie’s sweet above the garage apartment, and we just booked our fourth! The property is perfect for 2-3 people. Beautifully designed and sparkling clean. The location is perfect: one block from the lake and two blocks from your choice of Uptown restaurants, grocery, etc. The neighborhood is perfect for walking. Can’t wait to return!

I stayed at Rod and Annie’s over-garage apartment for 4 nights. It’s a beautiful space, sparkling clean. They left coffee and bars for me which was great due to my late check-in. Check in instructions were very detailed and helpful. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Only 1-2 blocks to the lake but with so much to do in Minneapolis, I never made it over there. I highly recommend and hope to stay again on future trips.

A lovely spot, very comfortable with super hospitality. Just right for our visit and the garage was a bonus.
