This was our first stay, and it will probably be our last. Everything was fine until we got the check at the restaurant. We weren't told how to pay. We waited to see if a debt machine was needed but no one said anything. We waited at the reception desk to pay there and no one showed up. My boyfriend saw on the receipt that it said room charge. It wasn't until we got back to the room when we found out the receipt needed our information. Not even a second later, we got a call from the restaurant. She assumed we were trying to leave without paying. My boyfriend ran back down to pay and the lady at the restaurant treated him as if he was a criminal.

We came, we ate, we slept, we left. Bathroom fan did not work, bathroom taps were backwards, low pressure in shower, pillows weren’t great, mattresses were lumpy, they charge you for bottled water left in fridge, no note paper or pen, staff on desk were very friendly and helpful.

Everything about the stay was excellent.
We had just got off the early ferry from Newfoundland & were bone tired. When I called to see of the room was ready, Brittany said, “You can check-in any time!” Musical words to very weary travellers!
Our server, Jessy, was excellent. The menu in the restaurant is very extensive. The dishes we had were wonderful.
This is where we’ll stay if in North Sydney again!

Stayed overnight to catch the Nfld ferry. Room was fine, ate at the attached restaurant and it was ok. Right next to the ferry terminal. Good place.

Dont let the outside fooll you! This hotel has veel really nicely renovated. The restaurant is excellent, the staff are.friendly and its 3 minutes from the ferry terminal.
