The hotel itself was fine. However, we checked in later at night after going to an event at the NYBG. A kid free night! We were promptly woken up by a wedding party having an after wedding celebration outside with a van of loud music, a drummer and a DJ very very slowly driving by our 4th floor window (we have video) at 8am. We chose this place for the 12pm check out. We were out the door by 9 because of this. We get that weddings make them money. All we ask is for a heads up at check in! There is no way the hotel wasn’t aware of this!!! Had they told us we could have opted to stay elsewhere or at least not have an exterior room. We called the front desk and just got a “sorry”. After check out the manager send an email so we emailed back. Another “sorry the wedding celebration negatively affected your stay” like we shouldn’t be upset because it was for a wedding! Will never stay there again.

Stay was excellent, however, individual on cleaning staff was rude. I told her I had a 1pm late check out, she shook her head and acknowledged, at 12noon she opens door my hotel room without knocking. At 12:30 she knocks on door and I tell her again that I have a 1pm check out, she seemed annoyed. Everything else was excellent.

Was there for about 12 hours, to sleep after a concert. The sheets on the bed didn’t want to stay on, they were too small. A friend got bit by a spider while sleeping. And it was very loud the whole night with people walking up and down the hall. Used to it being loud, it is a hotel, but truly sounded like they were in the room with us sometimes which just means things aren’t put together well. Expected more for what we paid.

There was a total of 4-5 tables at restaurant for lunch. Servers were doing bare minimum not attending to patrons. Way too many servers standing around while they could’ve taken better care of lunch guests.
