Very nice place to stay. The only reason i didn't give 5 star, and I'm sure others probably thought the same, but there's no elevator as far as i know. Carrying everything was a little hard for me. The other was, maybe there is a reason, there were no chairs to sit on the balcony to enjoy the view. Other than that, i appreciate the comfortable place you made for us to stay after a long drive. Thank you. The housekeepers are awesome.

A great check-in on the afternoon of November 2nd, during which we were told by our friendly host at the counter that we could check out 1/2 an hour later than normal. This offer came after we told him that we were repeat customers and very much enjoyed the location. We asked if there would be a charge, to which he said no. Fast forward to the next morning, and as we were packing and getting ready to leave (now 10 minutes after the normal check-out time), there is a knock at the door prodding us to leave. My fiancé explains what we were told the night before but it makes no difference, apparently. 5 minutes later and there is another knock, during which my fiancé explains AGAIN why we were not out yet... except this time we are rudely told that the host from yesterday apparently had "no power to offer what he did". Even if true, how on earth would WE be expected to know that? Instead of recognizing the importance of leaving your paying customers feeling like they are appreciated... (for example- "sorry for the misunderstanding- in the future, please know our check-out time can't be altered" we get an extremely cold brush-off. Turning in my room keys, I get an extremely terse "thank you" and no eye contact from this same lady. We've given this place well over $1500 worth of business over the years and overlooked the often less than ideal room conditions. Over a petty matter of a few minutes you've just pushed us to your local competition. Unbelievably DUMB!

Wonderful hotel and great location near Indiana Dunes National Park. Staff were fantastic - friendly and helpful. We only had a single night, but will definitely return for a longer stay.

We had a wonderful stay; the breakfast, pool, and sauna were delightful, staff were very friendly, and the rooms were very cozy and welcoming!

It was amazing!! The room so cozy and clean!! We loved this hotel I would highly recommend! Breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast but it was decent and we were glad they provided it. The pool was a nice addition.

Hotel only 2 miles from Indiana Dunes NP Visitor Center. Easy access to hiking trails, wonderful beaches, and restaurants. Large sized rooms, indoor pool, and breakfast to start your day. Very affordable and great location.

Very cute hotel. Nice view of the woods. Very nice staff. Clean room. The jacuzzi in room was very nice the tip was even big enough for my tall husband to stretch out in. Great location for hiking and shopping. The only thing that could use improvement was the blanket was thin and scratchy. Would stay here again for sure but would bring my own blanket.

We had a lovely view into the woods and enjoyed the morning breakfast. Great location to explore the Sand Dunes National Park and nearby towns.

Hotel is located in trees and exterior is cutesy rustic. Room was modern with sofa, chair, desk, fridge, microwave and king bed. Everything worked and was clean. reception desk was very friendly. Felt very safe staying there. Not what I expected for a reasonably priced hotel between Gary and Michigan City. Would go out of my way to stay there again.

I would recommend it more for at least a weekend getaway or a couple days stay. We only stayed one night so we'll be back and explore the area. Bring some chairs for the balcony because for some reason they have nowhere to sit. Be prepared for stairs, there's no elevator unfortunately. Also, Uno is on the property but they have crappy hours and should at least be open later for the weekends and probably try to open for lunch. You'd think they'd want to work with the hotel to be more convenient for the guests there, especially since they're on the same property.

Great little overnight stay. This is an older place, but pretty well kept (quaint). Some folks would say dated, but I say it has character. Not far from the national and state park. Pretty close to the city for dinning options. Would stay again.

Enjoyed using the hot tub but the rooms are too musty/dated. Need to better air them out during cleaning or check A/C units for mildew

Unexpected gem. View from room into trees was beautiful. We loved the fire pit area with porch swings. Very convenient to Indiana Dunes NP. The room was spacious and comfortable.
