We visit Paighton 4-5 times a year, but wanted a hotel with entertainment due to time of year. After reading the reviews we chose Queen's Hotel and thought we were in safe hands!
From outside building looks great maybe some tidying around bin areas outside kitchen.
On arrival the receptionist was more interested in ensuring I paid for our pre booked evening meal than checking us in with any relevant information. Overall we felt reception as the face of the hotel may need some reminders or training in smiling and welcoming and greeting customers.
Our room twin above lane to car park and kitchen. Very noisey with early delivery s and noisey generally with thin walls.
Room was very dated and old needed updates but generally was unclean.
Stained and ripped shower Matt and curtains. Shower grout needed cleaning. Bins dirty.
Pool needed pre booking unfortunately wasn't able to use as times were unavailable.
Only had one evening meal and food was bland and over cooked. Three coaches staying when we were and whole restaurant service felt rushed and plates were dumped three courses all in 30 minutes.
Evening entertainment was ok coach guests seemed to enjoy.
The lift was very temperamental and inside door kept jamming and people were running up stairs to send it down, it broke on third day we were advised to ask for room on ground floor next time as one has a few mobility issues .
Car park is ok as long as in before coaches which use it aswell.
Location close to town.

We really liked the lication of this property and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel had a coach party of older guests with several mobility scooters. They had entertainment in the evening which felt like it was aimed at these guests but we were welcomed into the fold and everyone was lovely and really enjoying themselves. The comedian/magician was hilarious and we had a great time. The bed was extremely comfortably. What more could you ask for. If im honest the hotel could do with a bit of an update but we would happily visit again

Food portions very poor for the prices charged.if I’m paying that price I would not expect the fish to be like one I’ve just bought from Iceland. The chocolate pudding was absolutely tasteless, the breakfast was decent if you have the appetite of a 10 year old.our stay overall was enjoyable and would possibly stay again but unless the food was improved I would not be paying extra for meals.All of the staff were friendly and helpful so it’s a shame that the food lets the review down.

We stayed for one night only and the reception was friendly. We bought a plug-in air freshener as the room smelt funky. The single bed was uncomfortable. Very noisy at night due to karaoke - but this was the summer in Paignton so I guess it’s normal. Hotel is near the main strip so very convenient.

The hotel's decor is in need of refurbishment, as it appears to be outdated and in need of modernization. The room We stayed in, room 322, was quite small for two people, but the beds were comfortable. However, the rest of the furniture was outdated and should be replaced. The bathroom was also very small, especially the shower, and it could have been cleaner, as there was mold and corrosion present. The breakfast provided was of poor quality and quantity, with a very basic selection of items and a small portion size. The coffee was also not of good quality. Overall, the hotel needs significant improvements in terms of decor, cleanliness, and the quality of its amenities

Freindly staff, great family room, amazing pool. Hotel a few minutes walk to Paignton with plenty of shops, restaurants, beach, amusement arcades, cinema and in summer holidays circus and fair by the beach area.

Roads were quite tight, not much parking. However, Reception Staff were very helpful and found a park space on the hotel grounds.

Not value money we paid £228 for 2 nights to then be told that did not include breakfast and we had to pay £10 each for breakfast, meal portions on the small side, not a great selection on the food menu. The bar had hardly any of the drinks that was listed on the bar menu. Some of the staff was welcoming where so of the staff serving food was quite rude. The rooms are very dated and basic and some dirt found.

A great place to stay when you are in Devon. A very clean and welcoming place. A brilliant location for anyone to stay in Paignton only 2 minutes walk to the sea front and a 3 minute walk to the town centre all on the flat.
The staff are friendly and very helpful the breakfast is very good. The room is clean and comfortable. And made up every day.

Hotel was in a great spot,it said parking when we booked it unfortunately the carpark was full when e arrived 🤔The room was good but be prepared for noise early because the doors on the rooms are not soundproof at all so you hear everything. Food was ok but poor quality ingredients but I do have to say the staff were lovely.

It was very welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable. Beds and bedding were excellent. Good location with a flat walk to seafront, town and transport links. Good breakfast. Lovely staff.

Stayed at the Queens hotel on Friday in preparation for a competition in Torquay. I booked a family room which was great value for money and included use of the pool. The swimming pool was the main reason for booking here and it’s a bit of a gem. We had the pool to ourselves for an hour.
