Hotel was in a perfect location on the Riverwalk and the staff was amazing, very accommodating. The Hotel and the room were extremely clean and comfortable. We will definitely look to stay here again when revisit San Antonio!

I was very disappointed with the safety of the bath tub and thus I did not take a shower and that is an essential part of my day. It is a deep tub and NO grab bars for safety. The only thing one can hang on to is a single water "handle". Shame on you for having a luxury hotel that is not safe for the visitors. I should get a discount for not using the towels!

I liked the hotel a lot. The breakfast was good but the dinner was surprisingly just mediocre. One item that bothered my room was so close to the three elevators that I could hear them all the time. Otherwise, a beautiful, and well-run hotel.

Wonderful. The coffee maker was not working in the room. Came down to the restaurant to ask for coffee, and other costumer got free cup of coffee but I got charge for it. It was charge to my room

We arrived early, we have stayed here in the past and have never had a problem with check in, even a little early..So our room wasn’t ready, that was fine, but at 4:00, sitting in the lobby, watching numerous people check in and get their room…I got a little impatient. I was told that our level of room, and the price we paid, we would have to wait. So apparently booking through a 3rd party expect to wait. The hotel is older, but the rooms are spacious and was very clean. The location in the river is great, very walkable to everything. Breakfast one morning in the Ambler, again we have been before..the food is good, but the service was very slow. We sat at the bar for drinks two evenings and the staff was excellent, Michael at the bar was very friendly and sweet.

Ok, but need extra pillows and did not get them until 3hrs later after second attempt.

This hotel is amazing! Very friendly staff. Happening scene. On the riverwalk. Close to everything! 8 minute walk to Alamo and 12 to the Alamodome. Service at Ambler was really slow. But everyone always made sure we had everything we needed, especially Fast Eddie. Our favorite part was the gorgeous rooftop pool. I also had a massage, which was well worth it. Thank you Jesse.

Lovely location on the river walk. Property is beautiful. Spacious comfortable suite over looking the river walk. Small areas were showing challenges of big older property. Restaurant was excellent. They were smoking meat on the patio several evenings. Hotel Contessa made a work week enjoyable

Fantastic room. King suite room was biggest ever seen City view, it was but mostly roof top and back of building. Guess we weren’t high enough. No Breakfast but restaurant is open. River walk only 2 block walk to everything. 6 blocks from Alamo. Worst thing is no parking. Had to park 2 blocks away so that sucked and not safe for vehicle.
