Matachica Resort & Spa - Adults Only offers 31 air-conditioned accommodations with safes and hair dryers. Rooms open to patios. Each accommodation is individually decorated. Pillowtop beds feature down comforters. Bathrooms include showers with rainfall showerheads, bathrobes, slippers, and designer toiletries. Additionally, rooms include complimentary toiletries and ceiling fans. A nightly turndown service is provided and housekeeping is offered daily. Amenities available on request include hypo-allergenic bedding.

Matachica resort and spa was absolutely incredible. From the moment we got off the airplane, Matachica staff was there to pick us up and take us to the resort. We highly recommend renting a Casita right on the beach. What an incredible view from our bed. It was absolutely amazing up there every morning.
Also, great options for excursion adventures. We did a half-day tour Swimming with sharks and stingray. Our tour guide Chris Was incredible and recommend booking the tour with him. The food was also very delicious and we recommend this place to anybody interested in a nice anniversary getaway.

I had an amazing experience at Matachica. The grounds and rooms were well-maintained, and the ocean view was stunning. The beach was kept clean, with the staff doing an excellent job of removing seaweed daily.
The food and drinks were both excellent. Arriving at the hotel itself was a memorable experience, but I won’t spoil the surprise for anyone!
Overall, I was very happy with this resort. If you plan on going into town, I recommend getting a golf cart. The ride outside the property can be bumpy, but it’s part of the adventure.

Beautiful location away from the town. Right on the sand and each of the casitas were perfectly spaced out.
The team was really attentive and welcoming.
Restaurants on-site were not good (especially the "fancier" one) and overpriced.

This is the most tranquil place. Truly a place to disconnect from everything, unwind, and reconnect to your loved one. We loved every second of our stay. The property is amazing, but what really set it over is the staff. Their dedication to giving their guests a wonderful experience is evident in everything. From the food, drinks, conversation, daily notes from the cleaning staff all the way to the placement of the toilet paper (not even kidding) all was intricately designed to give you a relaxing feel to just enjoy. Cannot wait to be back hopefully next year. We previously visited for our honeymoon 10 years ago and we are determined to not let it take that long to revisit again.

This is a beautiful but quite remote property. It is very quiet and calm. The room was beautiful and the staff very friendly. The spa is also quite lovely. It is the smaller things that were a bit off. There’s no tea/coffee in the room so you have to leave your room or wait until someone can bring it to you. This was a bit inconvenient for me. Also no fridge at all.
We told them multiple times we wanted to visit secret beach & rent a golf cart but no one make it clear that we would have to find a company ourselves and make arrangements. Even having that info would have made a big difference.
It’s at least 30 minutes from town so be prepared to spend $90 minimum just to go into town.

We had an absolutely amazing time at Matachica! Celebrated our honeymoon here, and will definitely be back in a few years to celebrate again! Staff was so friendly and helpful, the food was all so delicious and beautifully presented, and we were beyond comfortable in our casita!

We appreciate all the care and dedication that went into the concept and design of this property. It is the perfect place for guests who want to relax and rejuvenate, far from the craziness of San Pedro. It was the perfect spot for our babymoon.
