Clean and friendly staff

The stay was amazing. Security Guards were both professional and welcoming. The reception was good, service was very good in the dinning room as well. Staff was friendly as well.

When the staff knows you, then you know you have been here a few times. Easy check in, clean room, good food from the Deli makes the stay away from home an experience to look forward to.

The city lodge hotel is one that I have used on a number of occasions as it is reasonably close and convenient to the local company office. (If it wasn't for the location of the office, I'm not sure that I would necessarily want to visit that particular part of Johannesburg.) The staff are friendly and were very willing to help if required. They were able to arrange transportation for me from and to the airport. The food was fine (basic fare) and there is a simple small gym. There is also good wifi coverage. I was given a disabled access room and my impression was that more thought could have gone into its design - e.g. more space around the bed to maneuver a wheelchair, location of towel rails, shelf space, etc. (I am able bodied so the above was more from observation than experience.) My only minor irritation was that checking in and out was a bit slow.
