Everything was good except breakfast. Stuff was very slow, forgot what we ordered, didn’t bring a cup for the tea. Overall hotel highly recommended! Thank you!

Monastery Estates looks like a beautiful, sleek, modern hotel. And it is. But the aesthetics are where the positives start and end. The design choices may impress visually but make little sense in practice. The curtainless shower with a toilet behind it just means you have to wade through a puddle to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. And the lack of cabinetry with modern tech means you have 6 different green LED lights blinking at you when you turn off the light. The light blocking shutters are purely decorative and the blackout curtains are not full proof. The private pool that you must reserve in advance is freezing and unusable ( and a little awkward since it’s just a small curtained off room in the middle of the lobby). The front desk staff were kind but useless. When we told them the pool was freezing, they shrugged. When we told them the water in the shower turned off after 5 minutes, they said they could fix it tomorrow (after we checked out?) but maybe it would work later. They charged us €10/night for a resort fee (website said €4.84), refund pending. The most disappointing part was the breakfast, especially after having the opportunity to sample two other comparably priced hotels in the area. Everything that can be bought prepackaged at a store, is. The Continental breakfast option consists of three types of baloney-esque neon meats, sliced cheese clearly from a package, slightly stale bread and pastry, & packages of honey and butter. Book elsewhere.

Excellent and very pleasant staff.

Staff were very welcoming and attentive. While helping other guests with check in, the team did not hesitate to offer refreshments upon arrival. The rooms were very exceptionally clean and did not disappoint. Breakfast was very smooth as well and variety available. We ended up having to leave unexpectedly late in the middle of the night, and the team did not hesitate to coordinate seamless transport to eliminate further stress on our already stressful return back. We would love to stay here again for future trips to Chania. Tips for future travellers: Apple maps does not provide correction directions and would recommend searching by the restaurant name to locate.

As you walk in the flooring is clear so you can see Ancient Greece. Really neat. Staff is very kind and accommodating. Room is clean. Great location. Little expensive in comparison to surrounding lodgings. Rooftop access was nice but doesn’t give view of harbor. Breakfast was very nice, scenic setting.

Staff service was superior. ASMR zen like! Breakfast was excellent. Short walk to harbor. Facilities fairly new. A bit difficult to find in the old town narrow streets, but the search was lovely! Would definitely stay again.

We had an amazing time there. The room was spectacular, staff was great. We had a suite with Jacuzzi which was really grand! A la carte breakfast was nice and fresh. The spa in the main building can be booked privately and was fab, too.
