It was nestled in the quiet part of the hustle and bustle of Patong. The street was clean, clear, and it’s surrounded area had low profile bars, massage parlors, and other shops if you did not want to travel to the busy parts of town to do those same things. And it included activity offices as well as a reasonably price laundromat located next door.

Loved that it is a smaller hotel with modern clean luxurious decor, beautiful pool on rooftop and very friendly staff !

Great amenities, breakfast was lovely. Staff were extremely helpful in anything we nedded ectra towels for the beach or waters etc they were so friendly. Great room, lots of space and super comfy sheets. Lile a 4 min walk from the beach and main road

We stayed 8 days at BYD and really enjoyed ourselves. When you go during monsoon season, the weather is hit or miss, but we made the most of it. The location is great, close to the beach and right off one of the main drags with so many food/bar options. The in hotel breakfast was also fantastic, and a great way to start each day -- whether having delicious stir fry or traditional eggs/omletts and bacon and beans. Room (we had a suite) was spacious, clean, and well cared for by the staff. While the rooftop pool is a little small, it's still a great spot to enjoy an afternoon, read a book and then have pizza and beer delivered poolside for the outrageous price of $15 (I was being sarcastic there). Phuket was great and it all started with BYD. Thank you.

I’m almost reluctant to give this review in the fear that too many people stay at BYD. It’s perfection from start to finish. Staff, rooms, breakfast, meals, accommodation and everything else is amazing.

Service was excellent especially from front desk Katie. Breakfast was decent but repetitious. Rooms are very quiet. pool was a little cool for me but OK.
